তারপর যদি সে স্ত্রীকে (তৃতীয়বার) তালাক দেয়া হয়, তবে সে স্ত্রী যে পর্যন্ত তাকে ছাড়া অপর কোন স্বামীর সাথে বিয়ে করে না নেবে, তার জন্য হালাল নয়। অতঃপর যদি দ্বিতীয় স্বামী তালাক দিয়ে দেয়, তাহলে তাদের উভয়ের জন্যই পরস্পরকে পুনরায় বিয়ে করাতে কোন পাপ নেই। যদি আল্লাহর হুকুম বজায় রাখার ইচ্ছা থাকে। আর এই হলো আল্লাহ কতৃêক নির্ধারিত সীমা; যারা উপলব্ধি করে তাদের জন্য এসব বর্ণনা করা হয়।
And if he has divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband. Then, if the other husband divorces her, it is no sin on both of them that they reunite, provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by Allâh. These are the limits of Allâh, which He makes plain for the people who have knowledge.
فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ تَحِلُّ لَهُ مِن بَعْدُ حَتَّىَ تَنكِحَ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَن يَتَرَاجَعَا إِن ظَنَّا أَن يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ يُبَيِّنُهَا لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
Fa-in tallaqaha fala tahillu lahu min baAAdu hatta tankiha zawjan ghayrahu fa-in tallaqaha fala junaha AAalayhima an yatarajaAAa in thanna an yuqeema hudooda Allahi watilka hudoodu Allahi yubayyinuha liqawmin yaAAlamoona
YUSUFALI: So if a husband divorces his wife (irrevocably), He cannot, after that, re-marry her until after she has married another husband and He has divorced her. In that case there is no blame on either of them if they re-unite, provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by Allah. Such are the limits ordained by Allah, which He makes plain to those who understand.
PICKTHAL: And if he hath divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she hath wedded another husband. Then if he (the other husband) divorce her it is no sin for both of them that they come together again if they consider that they are able to observe the limits of Allah. These are the limits of Allah. He manifesteth them for people who have knowledge.
SHAKIR: So if he divorces her she shall not be lawful to him afterwards until she marries another husband; then if he divorces her there is no blame on them both if they return to each other (by marriage), if they think that they can keep within the limits of Allah, and these are the limits of Allah which He makes clear for a people who know.
KHALIFA: If he divorces her (for the third time), it is unlawful for him to remarry her, unless she marries another man, then he divorces her. The first husband can then remarry her, so long as they observe GOD’s laws. These are GOD’s laws; He explains them for people who know.
২৩০। সুতরাং যদি কোন স্বামী তার স্ত্রীকে তালাক দেয় [যা অপরিবর্তনীয়] ২৬০; এরপর সে তাকে আর বিবাহ করতে পারবে না, যতক্ষণ না সে [স্ত্রী] অন্য স্বামী গ্রহণ করে এবং তালাকপ্রাপ্ত হয়। অতঃপর যদি তারা মনে করে যে, তারা আল্লাহ্ প্রদত্ত সীমারেখা মেনে চলতে পারবে, সেক্ষেত্রে তাদের পুনর্মিলনে কোন অপরাধ হবে না। এগুলি হচ্ছে আল্লাহ্র প্রদত্ত সীমারেখা যা তিনি সরলভাবে বর্ণনা করেছেন যারা বুঝতে পারে তাদের জন্য।
২৬০। এই আয়াতটিকে পূর্ববর্তী আয়াতের অংশ হিসেবে ধরা যেতে পারে। পূর্ববর্তী আয়াতের [২:২২৯] প্রথম বাক্যে বলা হয়েছে দুই তালাকের পর পুনঃর্মিলন সম্ভব, কিন্তু তিন তালাকের পরে তা আর সম্ভব নয়। যদি তিন তালাক প্রাপ্ত স্ত্রীকে কেউ আবার ফিরে পেতে চায় তবে সেই স্ত্রীর অন্য লোকের সাথে বিবাহ হতে হবে। সেই লোক তালাক দিলেই তবে প্রথম স্বামী আবার তাকে পুনঃর্বিবাহ করতে পারবে। এখানে আল্লাহ্ আমাদের এই উপদেশ দিচ্ছেন যে বিয়ে একটি পবিত্র বন্ধন। একে সব সময়ে গুরুত্বের সাথে বিবেচনা করতে হবে। ক্রোধের বশবর্তী হয়ে বা আবেগ দ্বারা অন্ধ হয়ে বা হঠকারিতার দ্বারা বার বার এ কাজ করার সুযোগ থাকলে বিয়ের পবিত্রতা ও গাম্ভীর্য নষ্ট হয়ে ছেলে খেলাতে পরিণত হবে। এই বাধা বা শাস্তি দ্বারা পুরুষদের আত্মসংযম করতে ইঙ্গিত দেয়া হচ্ছে যেন ‘তালাক’ দেয়াকে তারা গুরুত্ব সহকারে বিবেচনা করতে পারে।
