এ চরিত্র তারাই লাভ করে, যারা সবর করে এবং এ চরিত্রের অধিকারী তারাই হয়, যারা অত্যন্ত ভাগ্যবান।
But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient, and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of the happiness in the Hereafter i.e. Paradise and in this world of a high moral character).
وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ
Wama yulaqqaha illa allatheena sabaroo wama yulaqqaha illa thoo haththin AAatheemin
YUSUFALI: And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint,- none but persons of the greatest good fortune.
PICKTHAL: But none is granted it save those who are steadfast, and none is granted it save the owner of great happiness.
SHAKIR: And none are made to receive it but those who are patient, and none are made to receive it but those who have a mighty good fortune.
KHALIFA: None can attain this except those who steadfastly persevere. None can attain this except those who are extremely fortunate.
৩৫। এই গুণের অধিকারী শুধু তাদেরই করা হয় যারা ধৈর্য ধারণ করে এবং আত্মসংযম প্রদর্শন করে ৪৫০৬ , শুধু মহাভাগ্যবান ব্যক্তিগণের ভাগ্যেই ইহা ঘটে থাকে।
৪৫০৬। উপরের আয়াত সমূহে যে নৈতিক গুণের বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে ,তা যারা আয়ত্ব করবেন তাদের বৈশিষ্ট্য এই আয়াতে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। এ সব নৈতিক গুণাবলী তারাই অজর্ন করবেন যারা হবেন ধৈর্যশীল ও আত্মসংযমী। অর্থাৎ ধৈর্য ও আত্মসংযম গুণ দুটি পূণ্যাত্মা ব্যক্তিদিগের চরিত্রের মাইলফলক। মানুষের সকল চারিত্রিক দুর্বলতা, জ্ঞানের আবরণে মিথ্যা জ্ঞান, আত্ম সম্মানের আবরণে আত্মগরিমা, মানুষের আত্মোপলব্ধি ও আধ্যাত্মিক বিকাশের বাধাস্বরূপ। এগুলি হচ্ছে শয়তানের পরামর্শ স্বরূপ [ দেখুন পরের আয়াত ]। আল্লাহ্র সাহায্যে এগুলিকে প্রতিহত করতে হবে। যদি কেউ আধ্যাত্মিক জগতে আল্লাহ্ নির্ধারিত এই মানদন্ডে পৌঁছাতে সক্ষম হয়, তবে সে মহাভাগ্যবান ব্যক্তি। আধ্যাত্মিক জগতে সে মুক্তি লাভ করবে।আল্লাহ্র প্রত্যাদেশ তার আধ্যাত্মিক জগতকে আলোকিত করবে।
