তোমরা গৃহাভ্যন্তরে অবস্থান করবে-মূর্খতা যুগের অনুরূপ নিজেদেরকে প্রদর্শন করবে না। নামায কায়েম করবে, যাকাত প্রদান করবে এবং আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের আনুগত্য করবে। হে নবী পরিবারের সদস্যবর্গ। আল্লাহ কেবল চান তোমাদের থেকে অপবিত্রতা দূর করতে এবং তোমাদেরকে পূর্ণরূপে পূত-পবিত্র রাখতে।
And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salât (IqamâtasSalât), and give Zakât and obey Allâh and His Messenger. Allâh wishes only to remove ArRijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet SAW), and to purify you with a thorough purification.
وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا
Waqarna fee buyootikunna wala tabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati al-oola waaqimna alssalata waateena alzzakata waatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureedu Allahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa ahla albayti wayutahhirakum tatheeran
YUSUFALI: And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.
PICKTHAL: And stay in your houses. Bedizen not yourselves with the bedizenment of the Time of Ignorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poor-due, and obey Allah and His messenger. Allah’s wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.
SHAKIR: And stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the ignorance of yore; and keep up prayer, and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.
KHALIFA: You shall settle down in your homes, and do not mingle with the people excessively, like you used to do in the old days of ignorance. You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and obey GOD and His messenger. GOD wishes to remove all unholiness from you, O you who live around the Sacred Shrine, and to purify you completely.
৩৩। আর তোমরা শান্তভাবে নিজের বাড়ীতে অবস্থান করবে এবং পূর্বের অন্ধকার যুগের ন্যায় নিজেদের চক্ষুধাঁধানো প্রদর্শনী করো না। নিয়মিত নামাজ প্রতিষ্ঠা কর, যাকাত আদায় কর, এবং আল্লাহ্ ও তাঁর রাসুলের আনুগত্য কর ৩৭১৪। হে নবী পরিবার ! আল্লাহ তো কেবল চান তোমাদের থেকে অপবিত্রতা দূর করতে এবং তোমাদের সম্পূর্ণরূপে পবিত্র করতে ৩৭১৫।
৩৭১৪। আল্লাহ্র প্রতি কর্তব্যসমূহকে এখানে সংক্ষেপে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। এগুলি হচ্ছে সালাত বা প্রার্থনা [ যার সাহায্যে মানুষ আল্লাহ্র নৈকট্য অনুসন্ধান করে আত্মার মাঝে ] এবং যাকাত দান করা [ সমাজের মঙ্গলের জন্য কাজ করা ]। ইসলামের এই দুটি স্তম্ভকে এখানে বিশেষ ভাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
৩৭১৫। “Ahl-al- Bail” – অর্থাৎ নবী পরিবার। এর মধ্যে নবী পত্নীগণ, নবী কন্যা হযরত ফাতেমা ,নবী জামাতা হযরত আলী, পৌত্র হাসান ও হোসেন এরা সকলেই সাধারণ বর্ণনা অনুযায়ী মুসলিম উম্মার সম্মানের পাত্র।
