আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদেরকে নিমজ্জত করতে পারি, তখন তাদের জন্যে কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই এবং তারা পরিত্রাণও পাবে না।
If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,
وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ
Wa-in nasha/ nughriqhum fala sareekha lahum wala hum yunqathoona
YUSUFALI: If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,
PICKTHAL: And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved;
SHAKIR: And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued
KHALIFA: If we willed, we could have drowned them, so that their screaming would not be heard, nor could they be saved.
৪৩। এটাই যদি আমার অভিলাষ হতো, তবে আমি তাদের ডুবিয়ে দিতে পারতাম ৩৯৯০। তখন সেখানে তাদের [ আর্তনাদ শোনার জন্য ] কোন সাহায্যকারী থাকতো না। তারা উদ্ধারও পেতো না ; –
৩৯৯০। মানুষ প্রকৃতিকে জয় করেছে। মানুষ নিজস্ব উদ্ভাবনী কৌশল ও আবিষ্কারের জন্য গর্বিত। কিন্তু সে কি ভেবে দেখে না , এই ক্ষমতা , এই বুদ্ধি তাকে কে দান করেছে ? প্রকৃতিকে জয় করার এই উদ্ভাবনী দক্ষতা আল্লাহ্ যদি মানুষকে দান না করতেন তবে মানুষ কি পারতো আকাশ ও সমুদ্রে বিহার করতে ? তার এই ক্ষমতা তো আল্লাহ্রই বিশেষ দান।
