তোমাদের পালনকর্তা সম্বন্ধে তোমাদের এ ধারণাই তোমাদেরকে ধ্বংস করেছে। ফলে তোমরা ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেছ।
And that thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction, and you have become (this Day) of those utterly lost!
وَذَلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنْ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Wathalikum thannukumu allathee thanantum birabbikum ardakum faasbahtum mina alkhasireena
YUSUFALI: “But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!”
PICKTHAL: That, your thought which ye did think about your Lord, hath ruined you; and ye find yourselves (this day) among the lost.
SHAKIR: And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones.
KHALIFA: This kind of thinking about your Lord will cause you to fall, and then you become losers.
২৩। ” কিন্তু তোমাদের প্রভুর সম্বন্ধে তোমরা যে ধারণা পোষণ করতে, এই ধারণাই তোমাদের ধ্বংস এনেছে ; এবং[ যার ফলে ] তোমরা সম্পূর্ণ ক্ষতিগ্রস্থদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়েছ।” ৪৪৯০
৪৪৯০। উপরের বক্তব্যের ধারাবাহিকতা এই আয়াত। বক্তব্য হচ্ছে : ” এখন দেখ অবস্থা কিরূপ ? আমাদের তোমাদের সাথে যুক্ত করে দেয়া হয়েছিলো আমাদের ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে আত্মিক সমৃদ্ধি লাভ করা ও আত্মিক মুক্তির অনুসন্ধান করার জন্য। কিন্তু তোমরা আমাদের অপব্যবহার করেছ। ফলে তোমরা তোমাদের ধ্বংস ডেকে এনেছ।”
