মুহাম্মদ তোমাদের কোন ব্যক্তির পিতা নন; বরং তিনি আল্লাহর রাসূল এবং শেষ নবী। আল্লাহ সব বিষয়ে জ্ঞাত।
Muhammad (SAW) is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allâh and the last (end) of the Prophets. And Allâh is Ever AllAware of everything.
مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا
Ma kana muhammadun aba ahadin min rijalikum walakin rasoola Allahi wakhatama alnnabiyyeena wakana Allahu bikulli shay-in AAaleeman
YUSUFALI: Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
PICKTHAL: Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah is ever Aware of all things.
SHAKIR: Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah is cognizant of all things.
KHALIFA: Muhammad was not the father of any man among you. He was a messenger of GOD and the final prophet. GOD is fully aware of all things.
৪০। মুহম্মদ [সা] তোমাদের মধ্যে কোন পুরুষের পিতা নয়। কিন্তু সে আল্লাহ্র রাসুল এবং শেষ নবী ৩৭৩১ এবং আল্লাহ্ সর্ববিষয়ে সর্বজ্ঞ।
৩৭৩১। কোনও দলিল বা ফরমান শেষ হওয়ার পরে তা সীলমোহর করা হয়। আর একবার সীলমোহর করার পরে তাতে আর নূতন কিছু সংযুক্ত করা হয় না – এই -ই নিয়ম। ঠিক সেরূপ পৃথিবীর আদি যুগ থেকে মানব সভ্যতার ঊষালগ্ন থেকে যুগে যুগে আল্লাহ্ পৃথিবীতে রসুলদের প্রেরণ করেছেন। তাঁরা আল্লাহ্র বাণী শিক্ষা দিয়েছেন এবং মানব সভ্যতাকে অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর পথে অগ্রসর করেছেন। সভ্যতার ধারাবাহিকতায়, মানুষের মানসিক বিকাশের সাথে সামঞ্জস্য পূর্ণ ভাবে আল্লাহ্র শিক্ষা ধারাবাহিক ভাবে যুগে যুগে নবী রসুলদের মাধ্যমে ধরাপৃষ্ঠে প্রেরণ করা হয়। এই সুদীর্ঘ ধারাবাহিকতাতে হযরত মুহম্মদ [ সা ] শেষ নবী। মানুষের পৃথিবীতে প্রথম আগমন থেকে শুরু করে আল্লাহ্র শিক্ষা ধারাবাহিকভাবে চলে আসছে। কিন্তু হযরত মুহম্মদের [ সা ] পরে আর কোনও রসুলের আগমন হবে না। রসুলদের আগমনের সীলমোহর এখানেই। এর পরে আল্লাহ্ যাদের প্রেরণ করবেন তাঁরা হবেন চিন্তাবিদ , এবং সংস্কারক , কিন্তু কোনও রসুল নয়। আল্লাহ্র এই হুকুম কোনও খামখেয়ালি নয়। এ হচ্ছে আল্লাহ্র জ্ঞান ও প্রজ্ঞার প্রকাশ। আল্লাহ্ সর্ব বিষয়ে সর্বজ্ঞ।
