অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে দলগুলো পৃথক পৃথক পথ অবলম্বন করল। সুতরাং মহাদিবস আগমনকালে কাফেরদের জন্যে ধবংস।
Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about ’Iesa (Jesus) ], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that ’Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allâh] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).
فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Faikhtalafa al-ahzabu min baynihim fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min mashhadi yawmin AAatheemin
YUSUFALI: But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!
PICKTHAL: The sects among them differ: but woe unto the disbelievers from the meeting of an awful Day.
SHAKIR: But parties from among them disagreed with each other, so woe to those who disbelieve, because of presence on a great
KHALIFA: The various parties disputed among themselves (regarding the identity of Jesus). Therefore, woe to those who disbelieve from the sight of a terrible day.
৩৭। কিন্তু দলগুলি নিজেদের মধ্যে মতানৈক্য সৃষ্টি করলো। সুতারাং অনাগত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শেষ বিচার দিবসে অবিশ্বাসীদের জন্য দুর্ভোগ ২৪৮৯।
২৪৮৯। Mash – ad শব্দটিকে অনুবাদ করা হয়েছে শেষ বিচার দিবস। এই শব্দটি যে ভাবকে বহন করে তা নিম্নরূপ : ১) যেখানে ও যে সময়ে সাক্ষ্য প্রমাণ গ্রহণ করা হয়, যেমন বিচারালয়। ২) সেই সময় যখন কাহাকেও বিচারের জন্য উপস্থিত করা হয়। ৩) সাক্ষ্য প্রমাণের জন্য কোন ঘটনাকে উপস্থিত করা হয়। শেষ বিচারের দিনকে ভাষায় প্রকাশের জন্য উপযুক্ত শব্দ চয়ন বৈকি।
