দোযখীরা জান্নাতীদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ আমাদের উপর সামান্য পানি নিক্ষেপ কর অথবা আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যে রুযী দিয়েছেন, তা থেকেই কিছু দাও। তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহ এই উভয় বস্তু কাফেরদের জন্যে নিষিদ্ধ করেছেন,
And the dwellers of the Fire will call to the dwellers of Paradise: ”Pour on us some water or anything that Allâh has provided you with.” They will say: ”Both (water and provision) Allâh has forbidden to the disbelievers.”
وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُواْ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاء أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
Wanada as-habu alnari as-haba aljannati an afeedoo AAalayna mina alma-i aw mimma razaqakumu Allahu qaloo inna Allaha harramahuma AAala alkafireena
YUSUFALI: The Companions of the Fire will call to the Companions of the Garden: “Pour down to us water or anything that Allah doth provide for your sustenance.” They will say: “Both these things hath Allah forbidden to those who rejected Him.”
PICKTHAL: And the dwellers of the Fire cry out unto the dwellers of the Garden: Pour on us some water or some wherewith Allah hath provided you. They say: Lo! Allah hath forbidden both to disbelievers (in His guidance),
SHAKIR: And the inmates of the fire shall call out to the dwellers of the garden, saying: Pour on us some water or of that which Allah has given you. They shall say: Surely Allah has prohibited them both to the unbelievers.
KHALIFA: The dwellers of Hell will call on the dwellers of Paradise: “Let some of your water, or some of GOD’s provisions to you flow towards us.” They will say, “GOD has forbidden them for the disbelievers.”
