বরং তারা তাদের মধ্য থেকেই একজন ভয় প্রদর্শনকারী আগমন করেছে দেখে বিস্ময় বোধ করে। অতঃপর কাফেররা বলেঃ এটা আশ্চর্যের ব্যাপার।
Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: ”This is a strange thing!
بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءهُمْ مُنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shay-on AAajeebun
YUSUFALI: But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: “This is a wonderful thing!
PICKTHAL: Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:
SHAKIR: Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing:
KHALIFA: They found it strange that a warner from among them came to them! The disbelievers said, “This is really strange.
০২। তারা আশ্চর্য হয় যে ৪৯৪১, তাদের মধ্যে থেকেই তাদের নিকট একজন সতর্ককারী এসেছে। সুতরাং অবিশ্বাসীরা বলে, ” এটা তো বড় আশ্চর্য ব্যাপার !
৪৯৪১। কাফেরদের এই বিস্ময়বোধ করা ছিলো স্বাভাবিক ব্যাপার তাদেরই স্বগোত্রের একজন উদিত সূর্যের ন্যায় ভাস্বর, জোতির্ময় -এ কথা বিশ্বাস করা তাদের জন্য সত্যিই কষ্টকর। সূর্যের অস্তিত্বকে যেরূপ দিবাভাগে অস্বীকার করার উপায় নাই। অন্ধ ব্যতীত, কোনও চক্ষুষ্মান ব্যক্তি দিবাভাগে সূর্যের দীপ্তিকে যেরূপ অস্বীকার করতে পারে না, ঠিক সেরূপ কাফেররাও রাসুলের (সা ) স্বর্গীয় বৈশিষ্ট্যাবলীকে অস্বীকার করতে পারছিলো না। ফলে তারা বিস্ময়ে ও অবিশ্বাসে বিমূঢ় হয়ে পড়েছিলো।
উপদেশ : এ ভাবেই পৃথিবীতে যুগে যুগে সত্যের প্রকাশকে প্রথমেই বাঁধাপ্রাপ্ত হতে হয় তার স্বগোত্রের লোকদের দ্বারা এ ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা প্রবাদ বাক্যটি স্মরণীয় ; ” গেঁয়ো যোগী ভিখ পায় না।”
