অতএব আজকের দিনে তোমরা একে অপরের কোন উপকার ও অপকার করার অধিকারী হবে না আর আমি জালেমদেরকে বলব, তোমরা আগুনের যে শাস্তিকে মিথ্যা বলতে তা আস্বাদন কর।
So Today (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), none of you can profit or harm one another. And We shall say to those who did wrong [i.e. worshipped others (like angels, jinns, prophets, saints, righteous persons, etc.) along with Allâh]: ”Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to belie.
فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يَمْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ نَّفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا وَنَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
Faalyawma la yamliku baAAdukum libaAAdin nafAAan wala darran wanaqoolu lillatheena thalamoo thooqoo AAathaba alnnari allatee kuntum biha tukaththiboona
YUSUFALI: So on that Day no power shall they have over each other, for profit or harm: and We shall say to the wrong-doers, “Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire,- the which ye were wont to deny!”
PICKTHAL: That day ye will possess no use nor hurt one for another. And We shall say unto those who did wrong: Taste the doom of the Fire which ye used to deny.
SHAKIR: So on that day one of you shall not control profit or harm for another, and We will say to those who were unjust: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie.
KHALIFA: On that day, you possess no power to help or harm one another, and we will say to the transgressors, “Taste the retribution of the Hell that you used to deny.”
৪২। সুতারাং সেই দিন তাদের পরস্পরের উপকার বা অপকার করার কোনও ক্ষমতাই থাকবে না। এবং আমি পাপীদের বলবো , “আগুনের শাস্তিকে আস্বাদন কর – যাকে তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।” ৩৮৫৩।
৩৮৫৩। মানুষ যাদের আল্লাহ্র কাল্পনিক প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বি কল্পনা করে যাদের উপরে নিজেদের আশা -আকাঙ্খা ,ও বিপদ-বিপর্যয়ে নির্ভর করতো – শেষ বিচারের দিনে তাদের নিকট প্রকৃত অবস্থাকে উদ্ঘাটিত করা হবে। তারা তাদের কাজের প্রকৃত মূল্যমান অনুধাবনে সক্ষম হবে। পৃথিবীতে তারা দোযখের আগুন ও শাস্তিকে বিশ্বাস করতো না – এ ব্যাপারে তারা সন্দেহ পোষণ করতে ও উপহাস করতো – পরলোকে যখন তারা প্রকৃত অবস্থাকে উপলব্ধি করতে পারবে তখন সেটাই হবে তাদের প্রকৃত অনুধাবন যার থেকে তাদের কোনও নিষ্কৃতি নাই।
