পরন্ত আমিই এদেরকে ও এদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে জীবনোপভোগ করতে দিয়েছি, অবশেষে তাদের কাছে সত্য ও স্পষ্ট বর্ণনাকারী রসূল আগমন করেছে।
Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Qur’ân), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear.
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَؤُلَاء وَآبَاءهُمْ حَتَّى جَاءهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
Bal mattaAAtu haola-i waabaahum hatta jaahumu alhaqqu warasoolun mubeenun
YUSUFALI: Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear.
PICKTHAL: Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain.
SHAKIR: Nay! I gave them and their fathers to enjoy until there came to them the truth and a Messenger making manifest (the truth).
KHALIFA: Indeed, I have given these people and their ancestors sufficient chances, then the truth came to them, and a clarifying messenger.
২৯। হ্যাঁ , আমি এদের এবং এদের পূর্বপুরুষদের এই জীবনে ভোগের সামগ্রী দিয়েছিলাম, যতদিন না সত্যের [ কুর-আন ] আগমন ঘটলো এবং একজন রাসুল সব কিছু সুস্পষ্ট করে দিলো ৪৬৩২।
৪৬৩২। লক্ষ্য করুন আয়াতটিতে আল্লাহ্ নিজেকে একবচনে প্রথম পুরুষ ব্যবহার করে ‘আমি ‘ শব্দটি ব্যবহার করেছেন।এর মাধ্যমে আল্লাহ্ ইব্রাহীমের বংশধরদের দুটি শাখার উপরে তাঁরঅনুগ্রহ ও সযত্ন তত্বাবধানের গুরুত্বকে প্রকাশ করেছেন। এখানে বর্ণনা প্রসঙ্গে যাদের কথা বলা হয়েছে তারা হচ্ছেন মক্কাবাসী। মক্কাবাসীদের আল্লাহ্ জীবন ভোগের বিভিন্ন উপকরণ দান করেন,যতক্ষণ না তাদের নিকট সত্যসহ আল্লাহ্র রাসুলেরা আগমন ঘটে।
