যখন তাদের কাছে আমার সুস্পষ্ট আয়াত সমূহ তেলাওয়াত করা হয়, তখন তারা বলে, তোমাদের বাপ-দাদারা যার এবাদত করত এ লোকটি যে তা থেকে তোমাদেরকে বাধা দিতে চায়। তারা আরও বলে, এটা মনগড়া মিথ্যা বৈ নয়। আর কাফেরদের কাছে যখন সত্য আগমন করে, তখন তারা বলে, এতো এক সুস্পষ্ট যাদু।
And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, they say: ”This (Muhammad SAW) is naught but a man who wishes to hinder you from that which your fathers used to worship.” And they say: ”This is nothing but an invented lie.” And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them (i.e. Prophet Muhammad SAW when Allâh sent him as a Messenger with proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, etc.): ”This is nothing but evident magic!”
وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَقَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ مُّفْتَرًى وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qaloo ma hatha illa rajulun yureedu an yasuddakum AAamma kana yaAAbudu abaokum waqaloo ma hatha illa ifkun muftaran waqala allatheena kafaroo lilhaqqi lamma jaahum in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun
YUSUFALI: When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, they say, “This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from the (worship) which your fathers practised.” And they say, “This is only a falsehood invented!” and the Unbelievers say of the Truth when it comes to them, “This is nothing but evident magic!”
PICKTHAL: And if Our revelations are recited unto them in plain terms, they say: This is naught else than a man who would turn you away from what your fathers used to worship; and they say: This is naught else than an invented lie. Those who disbelieve say of the truth when it reacheth them: This is naught else than mere magic.
SHAKIR: And when Our clear communications are recited to them, they say: This is naught but a man who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers worshipped. And they say: This is naught but a lie that is forged. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them: This is only clear enchantment.
KHALIFA: When our proofs were recited to them, perfectly clear, they said, “This is simply a man who wants to divert you from the way your parents are worshiping.” They also said, “These are fabricated lies.” Those who disbelieved also said about the truth that came to them, “This is obviously magic.”
৪৩। যখন আমার সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ তাদের নিকট আবৃত্তি করা হয়, তারা বলে, ” এতো একজন [সাধারণ ] মানুষ মাত্র, যার মনঃষ্কামনা হচ্ছে তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষ যাদের এবাদত করতো তা থেকে তোমাদের নিবৃত্ত রাখা ৩৮৫৪।” এবং তারা বলে, ” ইহা [কুর-আন ] তো কেবলমাত্র মিথ্যার উদ্ভাবন।” এবং অবিশ্বাসীদের নিকট যখন সত্য আসে , তখন তারা বলে, ” ইহা তো সুস্পষ্ট যাদু ব্যতীত অন্য কিছু নয়।”
৩৮৫৪। মানুষ শক্তির পূঁজারী। বহু লোক আল্লাহ্র পরিবর্তে বিভিন্ন জিনিষ যেমন : অর্থ-সম্পদ, প্রভাব-প্রতিপত্তি,নেতা , পীর , মাজার , রত্নপাথর ইত্যাদি জিনিষের এবাদত করে থাকে নিজস্ব জাগতিক স্বার্থ উদ্ধারের জন্য। এ সব লোকের কাছে পরলোকের জীবন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নয়। আর এক ধরণের মিথ্যা উপাস্যের উপাসনা মানুষ করে থাকে আর তা হচ্ছে পূর্বপুরুষদের সংস্কৃতির নামে অপসংস্কৃতির চর্চ্চা। তারা বলে, “কেন আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষেরা যা করেছে তা আমরা করবো না কেন ? ” তারা তাদের মাঝে রসুলের [ সা ] আগমনকে প্রত্যাখান করে। তাঁর প্রচারিত সত্য থেকে বিমুখ হয় – কারণ তা তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের ধর্মীয় সংস্কৃতিকে স্বীকার করে না। এর উত্তর দেয়া হয়েছে নীচের ৪৪ নং আয়াতে। প্রত্যাখানকারীদের প্রত্যাখানের কারণ তিনটি শিরোনামে এখানে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। তারা বলবে :
১) আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষ নূতন প্রচারিত সত্য সম্বন্ধে কিছুই জানতো না ;
২) প্রত্যাদেশ পাওয়ার কথা সত্য নয়, এটা এক কাহিনী মাত্র এবং মিথ্যার উদ্ভাবন। সুতারাং আমরা প্রত্যাদেশে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করি না।
৩) যখন তারা দেখে নূতন প্রচারিত সত্য কোন কোন মানুষের হৃদয় ও বিশ্বাসকে আমূল পরিবর্তন করে দেয় তখন তারা বলে যে এই প্রত্যাদেশ এক ধরণের ম্যাজিক বা যাদু বিদ্যা।
ম্যাজিক মানুষকে ধোঁকা দেয় এবং প্রতারণা করে। কিন্তু ‘সত্য ‘ এ সবের বহু উর্দ্ধে। ‘সত্য’ হৃদয়কে আলোকিত করে। দ্বিতীয় আপত্তি সম্বন্ধে বলা চলে , রসুলের আগমন আধ্যাত্মিক জগতের বিকাশ লাভের জন্য। যারা সত্য-সন্ধানী, তারা রাসুলের [ সা ] প্রচারিত প্রকৃত সত্যের আলো সনাক্ত করতে সক্ষম হয়েছিলো। যে সত্যকে প্রচারিত করার ফলে নবীকে দুঃখ এবং নির্যাতন ভোগ করতে হয়েছে ,যা প্রচারের মাধ্যমে তাঁর কোনও ব্যক্তিগত লাভ নাই , সেখানে তিনি কেন মিথ্যা প্রচার করবেন ? পূর্ব পুরুষদের ধর্মীয় সংস্কৃতি সম্বন্ধে দেখুন পরবর্তী টিকা।
