হে মানব জাতি! তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় কর এবং ভয় কর এমন এক দিবসকে, যখন পিতা পুত্রের কোন কাজে আসবে না এবং পুত্রও তার পিতার কোন উপকার করতে পারবে না। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। অতএব, পার্থিব জীবন যেন তোমাদেরকে ধোঁকা না দেয় এবং আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে প্রতারক শয়তানও যেন তোমাদেরকে প্রতারিত না করে।
O mankind! Be afraid of your Lord (by keeping your duty to Him and avoiding all evil), and fear a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the Promise of Allâh is true, let not then this (worldly) present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allâh.
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَاخْشَوْا يَوْمًا لَّا يَجْزِي وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِ وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِ شَيْئًا إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ
Ya ayyuha alnnasu ittaqoo rabbakum waikhshaw yawman la yajzee walidun AAan waladihi wala mawloodun huwa jazin AAan walidihi shay-an inna waAAda Allahi haqqun fala taghurrannakumu alhayatu alddunya wala yaghurrannakum biAllahi algharooru
YUSUFALI: O mankind! do your duty to your Lord, and fear (the coming of) a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the promise of Allah is true: let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah.
PICKTHAL: O mankind! Keep your duty to your Lord and fear a Day when the parent will not be able to avail the child in aught, nor the child to avail the parent. Lo! Allah’s promise is the very truth. Let not the life of the world beguile you, nor let the deceiver beguile you, in regard to Allah.
SHAKIR: O people! guard against (the punishment of) your Lord and dread the day when a father shall not make any satisfaction for his son, nor shall the child be the maker of any satisfaction for his father; surely the promise of Allah is true, therefore let not this world’s life deceive you, nor let the archdeceiver deceive you in respect of Allah.
KHALIFA: O people, you shall reverence your Lord, and fear a day when a father cannot help his own child, nor can a child help his father. Certainly, GOD’s promise is truth. Therefore, do not be distracted by this life; do not be distracted from GOD by mere illusions.
৩৩। হে মানব সম্প্রদায় ! তোমরা তোমাদের প্রভুর প্রতি কর্তব্য কর এবং ভয় কর সেই [ অনাগত ] দিনের যেদিন পিতা সন্তানের কোন উপকারে আসবে না ; সন্তানও তার পিতার কোন উপকারে আসবে না ৩৬২৩। অবশ্যই আল্লাহ্র অঙ্গীকার সত্য। সুতারাং পার্থিব জীবন যেনো তোমাদের কিছুতেই প্রতারিত করতে না পারে। প্রধান প্রতারক [ শয়তান ] যেনো তোমাদের আল্লাহ্ সম্বন্ধে প্রতারিত না করে ৩৬২৪।
৩৬২৩। ‘সেইদিন’ – অর্থাৎ শেষ বিচারের দিনে কেহ কারও উপকারে আসবে না। স্নেহময় পিতা সেদিন সন্তানের দিকে ফিরে তাকাবে না এবং সন্তানও পিতার জন্য শক্তি ও সাহস যোগাতে পারবে না। প্রত্যেকেই নিজস্ব দায় দায়িত্বের চিন্তায় অস্থির থাকবে। কেহ কারও দিকে ফিরে তাকাবে না বা উপকারে আসবে না।
৩৬২৪। ” প্রধান প্রতারক ” শব্দটি শয়তনের পরিবর্তে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। শয়তান আমাদের রক্তের সাথে মিশে থাকে। সে আমাদের অন্তরের মাঝে বাস করে সর্বদা আমাদের বিপথে চালিত করতে প্রয়াস পায়। ফলে আমরা তার প্ররোচনায় সময়ের মূল্য ভুলে যাই। সংসারের মায়াজালে এমন ভাবে নিজেকে জড়িয়ে ফেলি যে, শেষ বিচারের দিনকে বিস্মৃত হয়ে যাই। ভুলে যাই যে, আমাদের শেষ পরিণতি হাশরের ময়দানে স্থির হবে। আল্লাহ্র প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য হবেই। সুতারাং জীবনের দ্রুত ধাবমান সময়কে নষ্ট না করে তা সঠিকভাবে কাজে লাগানো উচিত। হয়তো বা সেদিন খুব বেশী দূরে নয় যাকে আমরা ভুলে থাকি।
