সুলায়মান বললেন, এখন আমি দেখব তুমি সত্য বলছ, না তুমি মিথ্যবাদী।
[Sulaimân (Solomon)] said: ”We shall see whether you speak the truth or you are (one) of the liars.
قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Qala sananthuru asadaqta am kunta mina alkathibeena
YUSUFALI: (Solomon) said: “Soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied!
PICKTHAL: (Solomon) said: We shall see whether thou speakest truth or whether thou art of the liars.
SHAKIR: He said: We will see whether you have told the truth or whether you are of the liars:
KHALIFA: (Solomon) said, “We will see if you told the truth, or if you are a liar.
২৭। [ সুলেমান ] বলেছিলো, ” শীঘ্রই আমি দেখবো , তুমি কি সত্য বলেছ না মিথ্যা বলেছ ! ৩২৬৯
৩২৬৯। হুদহুদের নূতন দেশ ভ্রমণের বর্ণনা সুলাইমান সন্দেহ করেন নাই, কিন্তু তিনি পরীক্ষা করতে চেয়েছিলেন যে, বর্ণনার মধ্যে অতিরঞ্জিত আছে কি না। হুদহুদের কল্পনা , বাস্তব ঐশ্বর্য, জাঁকজমক ও তাদের ধর্মের বর্ণনাকে অতিক্রম করে বাহুল্যেতে পর্যবসিত কি না , এই ছিলো সুলাইমানের পরীক্ষার বিষয়।
