তাদের মধ্যে কতক আপনার দিকে কান পাতে, অতঃপর যখন আপনার কাছ থেকে বাইরে যায়, তখন যারা শিক্ষিত, তাদেরকে বলেঃ এইমাত্র তিনি কি বললেন ? এদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং তারা নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে।
And among them are some who listen to you (O Muhammad SAW) till, when they go out from you, they say to those who have received knowledge: ”What has he said just now? Such are men whose hearts Allâh has sealed, and they follow their lusts (evil desires).
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءهُمْ
Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka hatta itha kharajoo min AAindika qaloo lillatheena ootoo alAAilma matha qala anifan ola-ika allatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAala quloobihim waittabaAAoo ahwaahum
YUSUFALI: And among them are men who listen to thee, but in the end, when they go out from thee, they say to those who have received Knowledge, “What is it he said just then?” Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own lusts.
PICKTHAL: Among them are some who give ear unto thee (Muhammad) till, when they go forth from thy presence they say unto those who have been given knowledge: What was that he said just now? Those are they whose hearts Allah hath sealed, and they follow their own lusts.
SHAKIR: And there are those of them who seek to listen to you, until when they go forth from you, they say to those who have been given the knowledge: What was it that he said just now? These are they upon whose hearts Allah has set a seal and they follow their low desires.
KHALIFA: Some of them listen to you, then as soon as they leave they ask those who were enlightened, “What did he just say?” GOD thus seals their hearts and, consequently, they follow only their opinions.
১৬। তাদের মধ্যে কিছু মানুষ আছে যারা তোমার কথা শোনে, কিন্তু পরিশেষে তারা যখন তোমার নিকট থেকে বের হয়ে যায় ৪৮৩৭ ; [ তখন উপহাস করে ] যারা জ্ঞান লাভ করেছে তাদের বলে, ” এই মাত্র সে কি বললো ? ” এরাই তারা যাদের হৃদয় আল্লাহ্ মোহর করে দিয়েছেন, এবং যারা নিজেদের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে।
৪৮৩৭। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১০ : ৪২ ] ও টিকা ১৪৩৪ এবং আয়াত [ ৬ : ২৫, ৩৬ ] ও টিকা ৮৫৭। এই আয়াতে মদীনার মোনাফেকদের মানসিক অবস্থার বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে যা সর্বকালে সর্বযুগের মোনাফেকদের জন্য প্রযোজ্য। মদীনার এ সব মোনাফেকরা রাসুলের [ সা ] দরবারে আগমন করতো এবং এমন ভান করতো যে তারা গভীর মনোযোগের সাথে রাসুলের [ সা ] শিক্ষাকে গ্রহণ করছে। কিন্তু প্রকৃত সত্য হচ্ছে এই যে, তারা তাদের অন্তরে কোনও সত্যকেই গ্রহণ করে না, বরং তারা যা শোনে ও দেখে তার দোষত্রুটি বের করার জন্য উম্মুখ থাকে। যখন তারা রাসুলের [সা ] দরবার থেকে বের হয়, তার সত্যের প্রকৃত শিক্ষা সম্বন্ধে কিছুই জ্ঞান লাভ করতে সক্ষম হয় না। অপরপক্ষে তাদের ব্যবহার হয়ে পড়ে নির্বোধের ন্যায় । তারা এমন সব অসংলগ্ন প্রশ্ন করে যা সাধারণ জনগণের মনে বিভ্রান্তি ও সন্দেহের জন্ম দেয়। মোনাফেকদের এই বৈশিষ্ট্য অদ্যাবধি বিদ্যমান।
