যদি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য উপাস্য থাকত, তবে উভয়ের ধ্বংস হয়ে যেত। অতএব তারা যা বলে, তা থেকে আরশের অধিপতি আল্লাহ পবিত্র।
Had there been therein (in the heavens and the earth) gods besides Allâh, then verily both would have been ruined. Glorified be Allâh, the Lord of the Throne, (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Law kana feehima alihatun illa Allahu lafasadata fasubhana Allahi rabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoona
YUSUFALI: If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!
PICKTHAL: If there were therein gods beside Allah, then verily both (the heavens and the earth) had been disordered. Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from all that they ascribe (unto Him).
SHAKIR: If there had been in them any gods except Allah, they would both have certainly been in a state of disorder; therefore glory be to Allah, the Lord of the dominion, above what they attribute (to Him).
KHALIFA: If there were in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside GOD, there would have been chaos. Glory be to GOD; the Lord with absolute authority. He is high above their claims.
২২। আকাশ মন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত যদি অন্য উপাস্য থাকতো , তবে সেখানে বিশৃঙ্খলা বিরাজ করতো ২৬৮২। আরশের অধিপতি আল্লাহ্ মহান পবিত্র। তারা যা আরোপ করে তিনি তার [ বহু উর্দ্ধে ]।
২৬৮২। পৌত্তলিক হিন্দুদের তেত্রিশ কোটি দেব দেবী। প্রাচীন বহু ধর্মে দেখা যায় দেব-দেবীর আধিক্য; যেমন গ্রীকদের বহু দেব-দেবী বিদ্যমান ছিলো। এ সব দেব দেবীদের কাহিনী হচ্ছে পরস্পরের প্রতি শত্রুতা , যুদ্ধ ইত্যাদি। হিন্দুদের পৌরাণিক কাহিনী ও গ্রীকদের কাহিনী হচ্ছে পরস্পরের এই শত্রুতা, বিদ্বেষ ও যুদ্ধের কাহিনী। যদি আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত বহু ইলাহ্ থাকতো, তবে তাদের ঝগড়া-ঝাটি এবং যুদ্ধের পরিণতিতে সকল বিশ্ব ব্রহ্মান্ড ধ্বংস হয়ে যেতো বা পৃথিবী এক কুরুক্ষেত্রে পরিণত হতো।
