এরপর আপনার জন্যে কোন নারী হালাল নয় এবং তাদের পরিবর্তে অন্য স্ত্রী গ্রহণ করাও হালাল নয় যদিও তাদের রূপলাবণ্য আপনাকে মুগ্ধ করে, তবে দাসীর ব্যাপার ভিন্ন। আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ের উপর সজাগ নজর রাখেন।
It is not lawful for you (to marry other) women after this, nor to change them for other wives even though their beauty attracts you, except those (captives or slaves) whom your right hand possesses. And Allâh is Ever a Watcher over all things.
لَا يَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَاء مِن بَعْدُ وَلَا أَن تَبَدَّلَ بِهِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ حُسْنُهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رَّقِيبًا
La yahillu laka alnnisao min baAAdu wala an tabaddala bihinna min azwajin walaw aAAjabaka husnuhunna illa ma malakat yameenuka wakana Allahu AAala kulli shay-in raqeeban
YUSUFALI: It is not lawful for thee (to marry more) women after this, nor to change them for (other) wives, even though their beauty attract thee, except any thy right hand should possess (as handmaidens): and Allah doth watch over all things.
PICKTHAL: It is not allowed thee to take (other) women henceforth, nor that thou shouldst change them for other wives even though their beauty pleased thee, save those whom thy right hand possesseth. And Allah is ever Watcher over all things.
SHAKIR: It is not allowed to you to take women afterwards, nor that you should change them for other wives, though their beauty be pleasing to you, except what your right hand possesses and Allah is Watchful over all things.
KHALIFA: Beyond the categories described to you, you are enjoined from marrying any other women, nor can you substitute a new wife (from the prohibited categories), no matter how much you admire their beauty. You must be content with those already made lawful to you. GOD is watchful over all things.
৫২। এর পরে, তোমার জন্য অন্য কোন নারী [ বিবাহ করা ] বৈধ নয় ৩৭৫৪, তাদের পরিবর্তন করে [তালাক দিয়ে ] অন্য স্ত্রী গ্রহণ করাও বৈধ নয়; যদিও তাদের সৌন্দর্য তোমাকে আকর্ষণ করে। তবে তোমার অধিকারভূক্ত দাসীদের ব্যাপারে এই বিধান প্রযোজ্য নয়। আল্লাহ্ সমস্ত কিছুর উপরে তীক্ষ্ণ দৃষ্টি রাখেন।
৩৭৫৪। এই আয়াতটি ৭ম হিজরীতে অবতীর্ণ হয়। এর পরে রসুল [ সা ] আর বিবাহ করেন নাই। তবে মিশরের খৃষ্টান শাসনকর্তা রসুলকে [ সা ] একজন পরিচারিকা উপহার দেন, যার নাম ছিলো মেরী। মেরীর গর্ভে রসুলের [ সা ] ছেলে ইব্রাহীমের জন্ম হয় যে শৈশবে মৃত্যু বরণ করে ?
