আমি তাঁদেরকে নেতা করলাম। তাঁরা আমার নির্দেশ অনুসারে পথ প্রদর্শন করতেন। আমি তাঁদের প্রতি ওহী নাযিল করলাম সৎকর্ম করার, নামায কায়েম করার এবং যাকাত দান করার। তাঁরা আমার এবাদতে ব্যাপৃত ছিল।
And We made them leaders, guiding (mankind) by Our Command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds, performing Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and the giving of Zakât and of Us (Alone) they were worshippers.
وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ
WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yahdoona bi-amrina waawhayna ilayhim fiAAla alkhayrati wa-iqama alssalati wa-eetaa alzzakati wakanoo lana AAabideena
YUSUFALI: And We made them leaders, guiding (men) by Our Command, and We sent them inspiration to do good deeds, to establish regular prayers, and to practise regular charity; and they constantly served Us (and Us only).
PICKTHAL: And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms, and they were worshippers of Us (alone).
SHAKIR: And We made them Imams who guided (people) by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and Us (alone) did they serve;
KHALIFA: We made them imams who guided in accordance with our commandments, and we taught them how to work righteousness, and how to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and the obligatory charity (Zakat). To us, they were devoted worshipers.
৭৩। আমি তাদের নেতা করেছিলাম, আমার আদেশ অনুযায়ী তারা [ মানুষদের ] সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করতো। এবং আমি তাদের ওহী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ভালো কাজ করার জন্য, নিয়মিত সালাত প্রতিষ্ঠা করার জন্য এবং যাকাত দেওয়ার জন্য। তারা সর্বদা [ শুধুমাত্র ] আমারই আনুগত্য করতো ২৭২৯।
২৭২৯। “তারা আমারই এবাদত করতো”। “আমারই ” শব্দটি দ্বারা এই আয়াতে আধ্যাত্মিক পরিশুদ্ধতার প্রতি গুরুত্ব আরোপ করা হয়েছে। পূণ্যাত্মা ব্যক্তি কখনও মন্দের সাথে বা পাপের সাথে সমঝোতা করে না। যদি এর জন্য সে উপহাসের পাত্রে পরিণত হয়, তবুও সে তাঁর নীতিতে অনড় ও অটল থাকে। সে প্রকাশ্যে তাঁর ঈমানকে ঘোষণা করে। মন্দ ও অসৎ সর্বদা মোমেন ও সৎ বান্দাদের দুনিয়া থেকে সরিয়ে দিতে চাইবে, তাদের ক্ষতি সাধন করতে চাইবে, কিন্তু আল্লাহ্ স্বয়ং তাঁদের রক্ষা করবেন। পাপিষ্ঠরা তাদের পাপের পরিণতিতে ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে।
