এটা এ জন্যে যে, আপনার প্রতিপালক কোন জনপদের অধিবাসীদেরকে জুলুমের কারণে ধ্বংস করেন না এমতাবস্থায় যে, তথাকার অধিবাসীরা অজ্ঞ থাকে।
This is because your Lord would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrongdoing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allâh) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent).
ذَلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ
Thalika an lam yakun rabbuka muhlika alqura bithulmin waahluha ghafiloona
YUSUFALI: (The messengers were sent) thus, for thy Lord would not destroy for their wrong-doing men’s habitations whilst their occupants were unwarned.
PICKTHAL: This is because thy Lord destroyeth not the townships arbitrarily while their people are unconscious (of the wrong they do).
SHAKIR: This is because your Lord would not destroy towns unjustly while their people were negligent.
KHALIFA: This is to show that your Lord never annihilates any community unjustly, while its people are unaware.
