সে দিন যালেমদের ওযর-আপত্তি কোন উপকারে আসবে না, তাদের জন্যে থাকবে অভিশাপ এবং তাদের জন্যে থাকবে মন্দ গৃহ।
The Day when no profit will it be to Wrong-doers to present their excuses, but they will (only) have the Curse and the Home of Misery.
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ
Yawma la yanfaAAu alththalimeena maAAthiratuhum walahumu allaAAnatu walahum soo-o alddari
YUSUFALI: The Day when no profit will it be to Wrong-doers to present their excuses, but they will (only) have the Curse and the Home of Misery.
PICKTHAL: The day when their excuse availeth not the evil-doers, and theirs is the curse, and theirs the ill abode.
SHAKIR: The day on which their excuse shall not benefit the unjust, and for them is curse and for them is the evil abode.
KHALIFA: On that day, the apologies of the disbelievers will not benefit them. They have incurred condemnation; they have incurred the worst destiny.
৫২। যেদিন পাপীদের ওজর আপত্তি কোন উপকারে আসবে না। তাদের জন্য রয়েছে [ শুধু ] অভিশাপ এবং কষ্টকর মন্দ বাসস্থান ৪৪২৫।
৪৪২৫। পরলোকে পাপী ও পূণ্যাত্মাদের অবস্থান পূর্বের আয়াতে আল্লাহ্ পরিষ্কার ভাবে বর্ণনা করেছেন। এই ঐশ্বরিক বিধানের পরে আর কোনও ওজর আপত্তি করা বৃথা। কোনও অজুহাত বা ওজর আপত্তি সেদিন কোনও কাজে আসবে না। পৃথিবীর জীবনে লোক দেখানো কাজ বা মিথ্যা ওজর বা মিথ্যা বিশ্বাস দ্বারা সমাজ জীবনে ধোঁকা দেয়া যায়। সেদিন এরূপ প্রতারণামূলক উদ্দেশ্য কোনও কাজে আসবে না।
