যখন আমি পয়গম্বরগণের কাছ থেকে, আপনার কাছ থেকে এবং নূহ, ইব্রাহীম, মূসা ও মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসার কাছ থেকে অঙ্গীকার নিলাম এবং অঙ্গীকার নিলাম তাদের কাছ থেকে দৃঢ় অঙ্গীকার।
And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (O Muhammad SAW), and from Nûh (Noah), Ibrâhim (Abraham), Mûsa (Moses), and ’Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). We took from them a strong covenant.
وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا
Wa-ith akhathna mina alnnabiyyeena meethaqahum waminka wamin noohin wa-ibraheema wamoosa waAAeesa ibni maryama waakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan
YUSUFALI: And remember We took from the prophets their covenant: As (We did) from thee: from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary: We took from them a solemn covenant:
PICKTHAL: And when We exacted a covenant from the prophets, and from thee (O Muhammad) and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus son of Mary. We took from them a solemn covenant;
SHAKIR: And when We made a covenant with the prophets and with you, and with Nuh and Ibrahim and Musa and Isa, son of Marium, and We made with them a strong covenant
KHALIFA: Recall that we took from the prophets their covenant, including you (O Muhammad), Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary. We took from them a solemn pledge.
০৭। এবং স্মরণ কর ! যখন আমি নবীদের নিকট থেকে অংগীকার নিয়েছিলাম এবং তোমার নিকট থেকেও; এবং নূহ্ , ইব্রাহীম, মুসা ও মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসার নিকট থেকেও। আমি তাদের নিকট থেকে শ্রদ্ধা ভয় মিশ্রিত [দৃঢ়] অংগীকার গ্রহণ করেছিলাম – ৩৬৭৭।
৩৬৭৭। দেখুন আয়াত [ ৩ : ৮১ ]। এই বিশ্ব ব্রহ্মান্ডের সকল সৃষ্ট পদার্থ প্রত্যক্ষ বা পরোক্ষভাবে আল্লাহ্র সাথে অঙ্গীকারাবদ্ধ যে তারা সকলেই আল্লাহ্র আইন মেনে চলবে। আল্লাহ্র আইন হচ্ছে তাদের অস্তিত্বের সাথে জড়িত। জড় পদার্থ বা জীবন্ত প্রাণী সকলেই নির্ভূল ভাবে স্রষ্টার আইন বা ইচ্ছাকে মেনে চলে। না মানার স্বাধীনতা তাদের দেয়া হয় নাই। শুধুমাত্র মানুষকেই স্বাধীনত দান করা হয়েছে সীমিত আকারে। আর সে কারণেই তাদের তা মানতে নির্দ্দেশ দান করা হয়েছে। দেখুন [ ৫ : ১ ] আয়াত। কিন্তু নবী ও রসুলদের জন্য আছে বিশেষ কঠোর ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অঙ্গীকার যা তাদের পালন করতে হবে। তাঁদের কর্তব্য হচ্ছে নির্ভিকভাবে সত্যকে প্রচার করা, সকল অবস্থায় আল্লাহ্র সেবায় নিয়োজিত থাকা। সমাজে তাদের সম্মানজন অবস্থানকে আল্লাহ্ পূর্বের আয়াতে নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছেন। তাঁদের অনুসারীদের সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শকের বিশাল দায়িত্ব তাদের উপরে নিয়োজিত।
