তারা কি বলে তা আমি ভালোভাবে জানি। তাদের মধ্যে যে, অপেক্ষাকৃত উত্তম পথের অনুসারী সে বলবেঃ তোমরা মাত্র একদিন অবস্থান করেছিলে।
We know very well what they will say, when the best among them in knowledge and wisdom will say: ”You stayed no longer than a day!”
نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذْ يَقُولُ أَمْثَلُهُمْ طَرِيقَةً إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا يَوْمًا
Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloona ith yaqoolu amthaluhum tareeqatan in labithtum illa yawman
YUSUFALI: We know best what they will say, when their leader most eminent in conduct will say: “Ye tarried not longer than a day!”
PICKTHAL: We are Best Aware of what they utter when their best in conduct say: Ye have tarried but a day.
SHAKIR: We know best what they say, when the fairest of them in course would say: You tarried but a day.
KHALIFA: We are fully aware of their utterances. The most accurate among them will say, “You stayed no more than a day.”
১০৪। আমি ভালো জানি ওরা কি বলবে; যখন তাদের নেতা , যে ছিলো তাদের মধ্যে সর্বাপেক্ষা উন্নত চরিত্রের ; সে বলবে, ” তোমরা তো একদিনের বেশী অবস্থান কর নাই।” ২৬২৯
২৬২৯। “সর্বাপেক্ষা উন্নত চরিত্রের ” ভিন্নমতে ইহার অর্থ ইহাদের মধ্যে যে বুদ্ধিমত্তায় অপেক্ষাকৃত উন্নত। এরাই প্রকৃত অবস্থা খুব সহজেই অনুধাবন করতে পারবে।
