তাদের সামনে রয়েছে জাহান্নাম। তারা যা উপার্জন করেছে, তা তাদের কোন কাজে আসবে না, তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদেরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করেছে তারাও নয়। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে মহাশাস্তি।
In front of them there is Hell, and that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor (will be of any profit to them) those whom they have taken as Auliyâ’ (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Allâh. And theirs will be a great torment.
مِن وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا شَيْئًا وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاء وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Min wara-ihim jahannamu wala yughnee AAanhum ma kasaboo shay-an wala ma ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa walahum AAathabun AAatheemun
YUSUFALI: In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty.
PICKTHAL: Beyond them there is hell, and that which they have earned will naught avail them, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.
SHAKIR: Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment.
KHALIFA: Awaiting them is Gehenna. Their earnings will not help them, nor the idols they had set up beside GOD. They have incurred a terrible retribution.
১০। এদের সামনে রয়েছে জাহান্নাম , তারা যা অর্জন করেছে তা তাদের কোন উপকারে আসবে না , তারা আল্লাহ্র পরিবর্তে যে অভিভাবক গ্রহণ করেছে তারাও [ কাজে আসবে ] না। তাদের জন্য রয়েছে মহাশাস্তি ৪৭৪৪।
৪৭৪৪। (৩) যারা অবিশ্বাসী ও পাপী তারা পৃথিবীর জীবনটাকেই সর্বোচ্চ চাওয়া ও পাওয়ার বস্তু বলে গণ্য করে। কারণ তাদের নিকট মৃত্যুর পরে আর কোনও জীবন নাই। সুতারাং এই জীবনের যা কিছু কাম্য বস্তু তারা তার পিছনেই ছুটে বেড়ায় জীবন ভরে এবং সম্মান , প্রভাব-প্রতিপত্তি , ধন-সম্পদ ইত্যাদি পার্থিব ভোগ্য বস্তু সম্ভারের পাহাড় গড়ে তোলে এবং মনে করে এগুলি তাকে ইহকাল ও পরকাল উভয় কালেই রক্ষা করতে পারবে। বিশ্বাস যখন প্রকৃত না হয়, তখন কার্য ও কার্যকরণ সিদ্ধান্ত ভুল হয়। তাদের এ সব পার্থিব বস্তু সামগ্রী পরলোকে কোনও কাজেই আসবে না। তাদের জন্য আছে মহা শাস্তি। আল্লাহ্র পরিবর্তে তারা পৃথিবীতে পার্থিব বস্তু পাওয়ার জন্য সাধনা করেছে , যা তাদের কাছে মনে হতো মানব জীবনের একমাত্র কাম্য, যা ছিলো তাদের উপাসনার বিষয় এবং যাকে তারা মনে করতো যে, তাদের সব বিপদ থেকে রক্ষা করবে, একমাত্র অভিভাবক , পরলোকে তাদের সে সব উপাস্য ও অভিভাবক কোনও কাজেইআসবে না।
