আমি তাদের সামনে ও পিছনে প্রাচীর স্থাপন করেছি, অতঃপর তাদেরকে আবৃত করে দিয়েছি, ফলে তারা দেখে না।
And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see.
وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ
WajaAAalna min bayni aydeehim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan faaghshaynahum fahum la yubsiroona
YUSUFALI: And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see.
PICKTHAL: And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not.
SHAKIR: And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see.
KHALIFA: And we place a barrier in front of them, and a barrier behind them, and thus, we veil them; they cannot see.
০৯। এবং ওদের সম্মুখে প্রাচীর ও পেছনে প্রাচীর স্থাপন করেছি ৩৯৪৯ ; উপরন্তু তাদের আবৃত করেছি। সুতারাং তারা [সত্যের আলো ] দেখতে পায় না।
৩৯৪৯। কেউ যদি প্রাচীর দ্বারা চতুর্দিক ঘেরা স্থানে অবস্থান করে , তবে সে সামনেও দেখতে পায় না পিছনেও দেখতে পায় না। আত্মা পাপে নিমগ্ন হওয়ার ফলে যখন আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ বঞ্চিত হয় তাদের অবস্থাকে উপরের রূপকের সাহায্যে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। এই সব লোকের আত্মিক অবস্থা কারাগারের রূপকের মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। এদের আত্মিক অগ্রগতি সামনেও যেতে পারে না অথবা পিছনে বা পূর্বাবস্থায় ফিরে যেতে পারে না। এদের আত্মিক বিকাশ সম্পূর্ণ স্তব্ধ হয়ে যায়। আল্লাহ্র নূর এ সব আত্মায় প্রবেশ লাভ বন্ধ হয়ে পড়ে। এদের আত্মিক মুক্তির আর কোনও আশা নাই। আত্মিক বিকাশের শেষ রশ্মিটিও এদের নিকট অস্তমিত।
