যারা কাফের তাদেরকে উচ্চঃস্বরে বলা হবে, তোমাদের নিজেদের প্রতি তোমাদের আজকের এ ক্ষোভ অপেক্ষা আল্লার ক্ষোভ অধিক ছিল, যখন তোমাদেরকে ঈমান আনতে বলা হয়েছিল, অতঃপর তোমরা কুফরী করছিল।
The Unbelievers will be addressed: “Greater was the aversion of Allah to you than (is) your aversion to yourselves, seeing that ye were called to the Faith and ye used to refuse.”
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِن مَّقْتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ
Inna allatheena kafaroo yunadawna lamaqtu Allahi akbaru min maqtikum anfusakum ith tudAAawna ila al-eemani fatakfuroona
YUSUFALI: The Unbelievers will be addressed: “Greater was the aversion of Allah to you than (is) your aversion to yourselves, seeing that ye were called to the Faith and ye used to refuse.”
PICKTHAL: Lo! (on that day) those who disbelieve are informed by proclamation: Verily Allah’s abhorrence is more terrible than your abhorrence one of another, when ye were called unto the faith but did refuse.
SHAKIR: Surely those who disbelieve shall be cried out to: Certainly Allah’s hatred (of you) when you were called upon to the faith and you rejected, is much greater than your hatred of yourselves.
KHALIFA: Those who disbelieve will be told, “GOD’s abhorrence towards you is even worse than your own abhorrence towards yourselves. For you were invited to believe, but you chose to disbelieve.”

১০। অবিশ্বাসীদের সম্বোধন করা হবে ;” যখন তোমাদের ঈমানের দিকে ডাকা হতো এবং তোমরা তা অস্বীকার করতে,সেদিন আল্লাহ্র অসন্তোষ , এখন তোমাদের [শাস্তির ভয়ে ] নিজের উপরে অসন্তুষ্টি অপেক্ষাও অনেক বেশী ছিলো। ” ৪৩৭০
৪৩৭০। পৃথিবীতে অবিশ্বাসীরা আল্লাহ্র নিদর্শন সমুহকে অস্বীকার করেছিলো। তারা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি ঈমান আনে নাই। মৃত্যুর পরে পরলোকের জীবনে তারা যখন প্রত্যক্ষ করবে যে , আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ ব্যতীত সে জীবনে উদ্ধার পাওয়ার কোনও উপায় নাই, তখন তাদের মন অনুশোচনায় ভরে যাবে। এ সত্য তাদের সামনে প্রতিভাত হবে যে, পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ্ তাঁর অনুগ্রহের দুয়ার অবারিত করে দিয়েছিলেন কিন্তু তারা তা সত্বেও আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করেছিলো। পরলোকে এখন তারা কি ভাবে আল্লাহ্র অনুকম্পা ও অনুগ্রহ আশা করতে পারে ?
