কেউ সম্মান চাইলে জেনে রাখুন, সমস্ত সম্মান আল্লাহরই জন্যে। তাঁরই দিকে আরোহণ করে সৎবাক্য এবং সৎকর্ম তাকে তুলে নেয়। যারা মন্দ কার্যের চক্রান্তে লেগে থাকে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি। তাদের চক্রান্ত ব্যর্থ হবে।
Whosoever desires honour, power and glory then to Allâh belong all honour, power and glory [and one can get honour, power and glory only by obeying and worshipping Allâh (Alone)]. To Him ascend (all) the goodly words, and the righteous deeds exalt it (the goodly words i.e. the goodly words are not accepted by Allâh unless and until they are followed by good deeds), but those who plot evils, theirs will be severe torment. And the plotting of such will perish.
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ وَالَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَكْرُ أُوْلَئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ
Man kana yureedu alAAizzata falillahi alAAizzatu jameeAAan ilayhi yasAAadu alkalimu alttayyibu waalAAamalu alssalihu yarfaAAuhu waallatheena yamkuroona alssayyi-ati lahum AAathabun shadeedun wamakru ola-ika huwa yabooru
YUSUFALI: If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result).
PICKTHAL: Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught.
SHAKIR: Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs the honor wholly. To Him do ascend the good words; and the good deeds, lift them up, and (as for) those who plan evil deeds, they shall have a severe chastisement; and (as for) their plan, it shall perish.
KHALIFA: Anyone seeking dignity should know that to GOD belongs all dignity. To Him ascends the good words, and He exalts the righteous works. As for those who scheme evil works, they incur severe retribution; the scheming of such people is destined to fail.
১০। যদি কেউ সম্মান ও ক্ষমতার অনুসন্ধান করে ৩৮৮২ , [জেনে রাখ ] সকল সম্মান ও ক্ষমতা আল্লাহ্রই অধীনে। পবিত্র বাণীসমূহ তাঁর নিকট পৌঁছায়। প্রতিটি সৎকাজকে তিনিই প্রশংসা করেন। যারা মন্দ কাজের পরিকল্পনা করে ৩৮৮৩ – তাদের জন্য রয়েছে ভয়াবহ শাস্তি। তাদের চক্রান্ত ব্যর্থ হবে।
৩৮৮২। কেউ সম্মান ও ক্ষমতা কামনা করলে তার জেনে রাখা উচিত যে তা আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত অন্য কারও তা দেওয়ার সাধ্য নাই। আলোচ্য আয়াতে আল্লাহ্র নিকট থেকে সম্মান ও ক্ষমতা লাভের পন্থা বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। এই পন্থার দুটি অংশের প্রথমটি হচ্ছে সৎ বা পবিত্র বাক্য, দ্বিতীয়টি হচ্ছে সৎকর্ম। ভালো ও মন্দের পার্থক্য অত্যন্ত তীক্ষ্ণ ও স্পষ্ট। কোনও ভালো জিনিষই পূর্ণ হারিয়ে যায় না – আল্লাহ্র সিংহাসনে তা নীত হয়। কথায় ও কাজে অত্যন্ত ক্ষুদ্র ও অবনমিত সৎবাক্য ও সৎকার্য আল্লাহ্র নিকট উচ্চ সম্মান লাভ করে থাকে। যদি কেউ ভালো কাজ ব্যতীত সম্মান ও ক্ষমতা কামনা করে থাকে তবে তা বাতুলতা। আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত সম্মান ও ক্ষমতার মালিক কেহ নয়। আমরা যদি শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহ্কে খুশী করার জন্য ভালো কাজ করি তবেই আমরা আল্লাহ্র কাছে সম্মান লাভের যোগ্যতা অর্জন করবো।
৩৮৮৩। দুষ্ট ও অশুভ শক্তি সব সময়েই ভালো এবং শুভ শক্তির বিরুদ্ধে কাজ করে – তারা গোপনে , রাতের অন্ধকারে, পূণ্যাত্মাদের বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্ত করে। আল্লাহ্ বলেছেন , মন্দের শেষ পরিণতি অবশ্যই মন্দ হবে। তাদের সকল চক্রান্ত ধূলিস্যাৎ হবে এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত অশুভ চক্রান্ত নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে যায়।
