যদি গোনাহগারদের কাছে পৃথিবীর সবকিছু থাকে এবং তার সাথে সমপরিমাণ আরও থাকে, তবে অবশ্যই তারা কেয়ামতের দিন সে সবকিছুই নিস্কৃতি পাওয়ার জন্যে মুক্তিপন হিসেবে দিয়ে দেবে। অথচ তারা দেখতে পাবে, আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে এমন শাস্তি, যা তারা কল্পনাও করত না।
Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon!
وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لَافْتَدَوْا بِهِ مِن سُوءِ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَبَدَا لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا يَحْتَسِبُونَ
Walaw anna lillatheena thalamoo ma fee al-ardi jameeAAan wamithlahu maAAahu laiftadaw bihi min soo-i alAAathabi yawma alqiyamati wabada lahum mina Allahi ma lam yakoonoo yahtasiboona
YUSUFALI: Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon!
PICKTHAL: And though those who do wrong possess all that is in the earth, and therewith as much again, they verily will seek to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the awful doom; and there will appear unto them, from their Lord, that wherewith they never reckoned.
SHAKIR: And had those who are unjust all that is in the earth and the like of it with it, they would certainly offer it as ransom (to be saved) from the evil of the punishment on the day of resurrection; and what they never thought of shall become plain to them from Allah.
KHALIFA: If those who transgressed owned everything on earth, even twice as much, they would readily give it up to avoid the terrible retribution on the Day of Resurrection. They will be shown by GOD what they never expected.
৪৭। যদি পাপীদের পৃথিবীর সমুদয় [সম্পদও] থাকে, এবং তার সাথে ইহার সমপরিমাণ [ সম্পদও ] যুক্ত হয়; ৪৩১৫ শেষ বিচারের দিনের শাস্তির পরিবর্তে তারা মুক্তিপণ হিসেবে [ বৃথাই ] তা দিতে চাইবে। কিন্তু আল্লাহ্র পক্ষ থেকে তাদের জন্য এমন সব বিষয় প্রকাশ পাবে যা তারা ভাবতেই পারে নাই ৪৩১৬।
৪৩১৫। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১৩ : ১৮ ]। যারা এই পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ্র বাণীকে অস্বীকার করে মৃত্যুর পরপারে যেয়ে তারা উপলব্ধি করতে পারবে সত্যকে প্রত্যাখান করার প্রতিফল। সেদিন তারা সত্যকে গ্রহণ করে পূণ্যাত্মারূপে প্রতিষ্ঠা পাওয়ার জন্য পৃথিবীর সকল সম্পদ ত্যাগ করতে প্রস্তুত থাকবে। কিন্তু তখন তা বহু দেরী হয়ে যাবে। তবে কেন এখনই তারা সাবধান হচ্ছে না এবং আল্লাহ্র পথ নির্দ্দেশকে আন্তরিকভাবে গ্রহণ করছে না ?
৪৩১৬। ” এমন সব বিষয় ” – হচ্ছে এমন ঘটনা যা অবিশ্বাসীরা পৃথিবীতে কল্পনাও করতে অক্ষম। পার্থিব জীবনে তা কল্পনা করাও অসম্ভব। বেহেশতের সুখ ও শান্তি যেরূপ পূণ্যাত্মাদের কল্পনাকে অতিক্রম করে যাবে, ঠিক সেরূপ পরলোকের দোযখের যন্ত্রণা পাপীরা এ পৃথিবীতে বসে কল্পনাও করতে পারবে না। দেখুন পরবর্তী টিকা।
