যারা মনোনিবেশ সহকারে কথা শুনে, অতঃপর যা উত্তম, তার অনুসরণ করে। তাদেরকেই আল্লাহ সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করেন এবং তারাই বুদ্ধিমান।
Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding.
الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ
Allatheena yastamiAAoona alqawla fayattabiAAoona ahsanahu ola-ika allatheena hadahumu Allahu waola-ika hum oloo al-albabi
YUSUFALI: Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding.
PICKTHAL: Who hear advice and follow the best thereof. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding.
SHAKIR: Those who listen to the word, then follow the best of it; those are they whom Allah has guided, and those it is who are the men of understanding.
KHALIFA: They are the ones who examine all words, then follow the best. These are the ones whom GOD has guided; these are the ones who possess intelligence.
১৮। যারা মনোযোগ সহকারে কথা শোনে এবং উহার মধ্যে যা উত্তম তা গ্রহণ করে ৪২৬৯ এরাই তারা যাদের আল্লাহ্ সৎপথে পরিচালিত করেন এবং যারা জ্ঞানে সমৃদ্ধ।
৪২৬৯। এই আয়াতটি সম্বন্ধে দুধরণের তফসীর দেখা যায়। ১) ‘ কথা’ শব্দটি যদি সাধারণ অর্থে ব্যবহার হয় ,তবে আয়াতটির অর্থ দাঁড়ায় যে, পূণ্যাত্মা ব্যক্তিরা সত্য মিথ্যা , ভালো-মন্দ নির্বিশেষে মনোযোগ সহকারে সকল কথাই শোনে, এবং তা থেকে যা সত্য ও উত্তম তারই অনুসরণ করে থাকে। ২) যদি ‘কথা ‘ শব্দটি আল্লাহ্র ‘বাণী’ ধরা হয় তবে তার অর্থ দাঁড়ায় পূণ্যাত্মারা আল্লাহ্র বাণী ভক্তিসহকারে শোনে এবং তার মাঝে যা উত্তম তারই অনুসরণ করে। যেমন অনেক ক্ষেত্রে সর্বোত্তম পন্থা দুর্বলদের পক্ষে অবলম্বন করা সম্ভব হয় না যারা বোধ-শক্তি সম্পন্ন শুধু তারাই পারে সর্বোত্তম পন্থার অনুসরণ করতে। উদাহরণ দিয়ে বুঝাতে চেষ্টা করবো : কেহ আঘাত করলে বা ক্ষতি করলে তাকে ততটুকু আঘাত বা ক্ষতি ফিরিয়ে দেয়া আল্লাহ্ আমাদের জন্য সিদ্ধ করেছেন , কিন্তু সর্বোত্তম পন্থা হচ্ছে পাপকে পূণ্য দ্বারা , মন্দকে ভালো দ্বারা প্রতিহত করা [ ২৩ : ৯৬ ]। আমাদের উপরে আল্লাহ্র নির্দ্দেশ হচ্ছে আমরা যেনো উত্তম পন্থা অনুসরণ করতে চেষ্টা করি।
