তারা বিস্ময়বোধ করে যে, তাদেরই কাছে তাদের মধ্যে থেকে একজন সতর্ককারী আগমন করেছেন। আর কাফেররা বলে এ-তো এক মিথ্যাচারী যাদুকর।
So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, “This is a sorcerer telling lies!
وَعَجِبُوا أَن جَاءهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ
WaAAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum waqala alkafiroona hatha sahirun kaththabun
YUSUFALI: So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, “This is a sorcerer telling lies!
PICKTHAL: And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan.
SHAKIR: And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This IS an enchanter, a liar.
KHALIFA: They wondered that a warner should come to them, from among them. The disbelievers said, “A magician, a liar.
০৪। এরা আশ্চর্য হচ্ছে এই ভেবে যে, তাদের মধ্য থেকেই তাদের জন্য একজন সর্তককারী এসেছে এবং অবিশ্বাসীরা বলে যে, ” এ তো একজন যাদুকর , মিথ্যা বলছে ৪১৫০।
৪১৫০। রাসুলের [সা ] আগমনে আরব মোশরেকরা আশ্চর্য্য বোধ করে এ জন্য যে, তাদেরই একজনকে আল্লাহ্ কেন বিশেষ ভাবে রাসুল রূপে নির্বাচিত করলেন। হিংসার আগুন তাদের সমস্ত সত্ত্বাকে বিদ্বেষে পরিপূর্ণ করে তোলে। ফলে তারা রাসুলের বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা অভিযোগ এবং কুরুচিপূর্ণ বাক্য প্রয়োগ করতে থাকে। যাকে আল্লাহ্ পৃথিবীর রহমতরূপে প্রেরণ করেছেন তাঁকে তারা “যাদুকর” ও ” মিথ্যাবাদী” রূপে অভিহিত করার প্রয়াস পায়। তাদের এই প্রয়াস তাদের বিবেক বুদ্ধির স্বল্পতারই প্রকাশ করে।
