সাবার অধিবাসীদের জন্যে তাদের বাসভূমিতে ছিল এক নিদর্শন-দুটি উদ্যান, একটি ডানদিকে, একটি বামদিকে। তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার রিযিক খাও এবং তাঁর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর। স্বাস্থ্যকর শহর এবং ক্ষমাশীল পালনকর্তা।
Indeed there was for Saba’ (Sheba) a sign in their dwelling place, – two gardens on the right hand and on the left (and it was said to them) ”Eat of the provision of your Lord, and be grateful to Him, a fair land and an OftForgiving Lord.
لَقَدْ كَانَ لِسَبَإٍ فِي مَسْكَنِهِمْ آيَةٌ جَنَّتَانِ عَن يَمِينٍ وَشِمَالٍ كُلُوا مِن رِّزْقِ رَبِّكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لَهُ بَلْدَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَرَبٌّ غَفُورٌ
Laqad kana lisaba-in fee maskanihim ayatun jannatani AAan yameenin washimalin kuloo min rizqi rabbikum waoshkuroo lahu baldatun tayyibatun warabbun ghafoorun
YUSUFALI: There was, for Saba, aforetime, a Sign in their home-land – two Gardens to the right and to the left. “Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him: a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving!
PICKTHAL: There was indeed a sign for Sheba in their dwelling-place: Two gardens on the right hand and the left (as who should say): Eat of the provision of your Lord and render thanks to Him. A fair land and an indulgent Lord!
SHAKIR: Certainly there was a sign for Saba in their abode; two gardens on the right and the left; eat of the sustenance of your Lord and give thanks to Him: a good land and a Forgiving Lord!
KHALIFA: Sheba’s homeland used to be a marvel, with two gardens on the right and the left. Eat from your Lord’s provisions, and be appreciative of Him – good land, and a forgiving Lord.
১৫। পূর্ব থেকেই সাবা বাসীদের জন্য তাদের বাসভূমিতে ছিলো এক নিদর্শন ৩৮১০ – দুই সারি বাগান একটি ডান দিকে , অপরটি বামদিকে। ” তোমাদের প্রভু যে জীবনোপকরণ দান করেছেন তা থেকে আহার কর এবং তাঁর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও। সুখী ও সুন্দর নগরী এবং ক্ষমাশীল প্রভু।” ৩৮১১
৩৮১০। সূরা [ ২৭ : ২২ ] আয়াতে ইয়েমেনের অন্তর্গত যে শহরের উল্লেখ আছে এই সাবা নগরী সেই একই নগরী। নগরীর অবস্থানের জন্য উক্ত আয়াতের টিকা দেখুন। উক্ত আয়াতের সময়কাল ছিলো সুলাইমান ও সাবার রাণী বিলকিসের সময়কাল। এই আয়াতে যে সময়কাল বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে, ,তা বিলকিসের সময়কাল থেকে শত বৎসর পরে। এই রাজ্য তখনও সুখ ও সমৃদ্ধিতে ভরপুর ছিলো। সাবাবাসীরা বাঁধ নির্মাণ করে জলসেচের সুবন্দোবস্ত করে। ফলে সারাদেশে প্রচুর শষ্য ও ফল-মূল উৎপন্ন হয়। সম্ভবতঃ সেচের খালের দুপাশে ছিলো তাদের উদ্যান গুলি যার বর্ণনাতে বলা হয়েছে “দুইটি উদ্যান, একটি ডানদিকে, অপরটি বামদিকে।” খালের যে কোন স্থান থেকেই উদ্যানের অবস্থান এরূপই হওয়া সম্ভব।
৩৮১১। দেশটি ছিলো মনোরম এবং এই শহরের বাসিন্দারা ছিলো সুখ ও সমৃদ্ধিতে পরিপূর্ণ। তারা আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ পরিপূর্ণ ভাবে লাভ করেছিলো। আল্লাহ্ মহান ও ক্ষমাশীল; তিনি মানুষের ছোটখাট দোষত্রুটি ক্ষমা করে দেন।
