তিনি আকাশ থেকে পৃথিবী পর্যন্ত সমস্ত কর্ম পরিচালনা করেন, অতঃপর তা তাঁর কাছে পৌছবে এমন এক দিনে, যার পরিমাণ তোমাদের গণনায় হাজার বছরের সমান।
He arranges (every) affair from the heavens to the earth, then it (affair) will go up to Him, in one Day, the space whereof is a thousand years of your reckoning (i.e. reckoning of our present world’s time).
يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاء إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
Yudabbiru al-amra mina alssama-i ila al-ardi thumma yaAAruju ilayhi fee yawmin kana miqdaruhu alfa sanatin mimma taAAuddoona
YUSUFALI: He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning.
PICKTHAL: He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon.
SHAKIR: He regulates the affair from the heaven to the earth; then shall it ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years of what you count.
KHALIFA: All matters are controlled by Him from the heaven to the earth. To Him, the day is equivalent to one thousand of your years.
০৫। তিনি আকাশমন্ডলী থেকে পৃথিবী পর্যন্ত সমুদয় বিষয় পরিচালনা করেন। সব শেষে [সকল বিষয়] তাঁর নিকট পৌঁছায় এমন এক দিনে, যার পরিমাণ তোমাদের গণনায় এক হাজার বৎসর হয় ৩৬৩৪।
৩৬৩৪। সময় একটি আপেক্ষিক ধারণা মাত্র। সময়ের এই বিশাল রহস্যকে আমাদের ধারণাতে অনুভবের জন্য এই আয়াতে সময়ের ধারণাকে আপেক্ষিক হিসেবে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। আল্লাহ্র সৃষ্টির এক একটি দিন আমাদের ধারণার এক হাজার বা পঞ্চাশ হাজার দিনের সমান। সূদূর অতীতে স্রষ্টা সৃষ্টি প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করেন যা আজও সমভাবে বর্তমান। তিনি সকল কিছু পরিচালনা ও নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেন। সৃষ্টির সকল কিছুই তার আইন মেনে চলতে বাধ্য। ভবিষ্যতে বিশ্ব ব্রহ্মান্ডের সকল কিছুই তাঁর কাছে নীত হবে বিচারের জন্য। তিনি হবেন বিচারপতি। সেদিন তিনি সকল ভ্রান্তির অবসান ঘটাবেন, সকল কিছুরই প্রকৃত মূল্যবোধকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করবেন। আর এসব কিছুই ঘটবে এক দিনের মধ্যে বা এক ঘন্টার মধ্যে বা এক মূহুর্তের মধ্যে বা চোখের পলকে। কিন্তু আমাদের ধারণায় তা মনে হবে হাজার বছরের সমান।
