আল্লাহ কোন সন্তান গ্রহণ করেননি এবং তাঁর সাথে কোন মাবুদ নেই। থাকলে প্রত্যেক মাবুদ নিজ নিজ সৃষ্টি নিয়ে চলে যেত এবং একজন অন্যজনের উপর প্রবল হয়ে যেত। তারা যা বলে, তা থেকে আল্লাহ পবিত্র।
No son (or offspring or children) did Allâh beget, nor is there any ilâh (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allâh above all that they attribute to Him!
مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Ma ittakhatha Allahu min waladin wama kana maAAahu min ilahin ithan lathahaba kullu ilahin bima khalaqa walaAAala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin subhana Allahi AAamma yasifoona
YUSUFALI: No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!
PICKTHAL: Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any god along with Him; else would each god have assuredly championed that which he created, and some of them would assuredly have overcome others. Glorified be Allah above all that they allege.
SHAKIR: Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god– in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe!
KHALIFA: GOD has never begotten a son. Nor was there ever any other god beside Him. Otherwise, each god would have declared independence with his creations, and they would have competed with each other for dominance. GOD be glorified; far above their claims.
৯০। আমি তাদের সত্য প্রেরণ করেছি; কিন্তু তারা প্রকৃতই মিথ্যার অভ্যাস করে।
৯১। আল্লাহ্ কোন পুত্র সন্তান গ্রহণ করেন নাই এবং তাঁর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য নাই। [ যদি সেখানে বহু উপাস্য থাকতো ] , শোন, তবে প্রত্যেক উপাস্য তার স্বীয় সৃষ্টি নিয়ে পৃথক হয়ে যেতো এবং একে অপরের উপরে প্রাধান্য বিস্তার করতো ২৯৩১। ওরা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি যা আরোপ করে [ তিনি তা থেকে মুক্ত ]।
২৯৩১। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১৭ : ৪২ ] এবং টিকা ২২৮। বহু ঈশ্বরের কল্পনা এক মূর্খের কল্পনা। কারণ পৃথিবী ও নভোমন্ডল সৃষ্টির প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত করলেই স্রষ্টার একত্বের স্বাক্ষর মেলে। যদি তা বহু ঈশ্বরের সৃষ্টি হতো, তবে প্রাকৃতিক নিয়মের সুত্রের মাঝে বহুধা বিভক্তি লক্ষ্য করা যেতো। যা শেষ পর্যন্ত সৃষ্ট পদার্থের সমন্বিত শৃঙ্খলা বিনষ্ট করতো।
