আপনার পূর্বে আমি মানুষই প্রেরণ করেছি, যাদের কাছে আমি ওহী পাঠাতাম। অতএব তোমরা যদি না জান তবে যারা স্মরণ রাখে তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর।
And We sent not before you (O Muhammad SAW) but men to whom We inspired, so ask the people of the Reminder [Scriptures – the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel)] if you do not know.
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wama arsalna qablaka illa rijalan noohee ilayhim fais-aloo ahla alththikri in kuntum la taAAlamoona
YUSUFALI: Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.
PICKTHAL: And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men, whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not?
SHAKIR: And We did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation, so ask the followers of the reminder if you do not
KHALIFA: We did not send before you except men whom we inspired. Ask those who know the scripture, if you do not know.
০৭। তোমার পূর্বে যে সব পয়গম্বর আমি প্রেরণ করেছিলাম তারাও ছিলো মানুষ , যাদের জন্য আমি ওহী মঞ্জুর করেছিলাম। যদি তোমরা তা না বুঝে থাক, তবে তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা কর যারা [আল্লাহ্র ] বাণীকে ধারণ করে থাকে ২৬৭০।
২৬৭০। দেখুন অনুরূপ আয়াত [ ১৬ : ৪৩ ] এবং টিকা ২০৬৯। অবিশ্বাসী বা ঈমানহীনদের কথা ” সেতো আমাদের মতই সাধারণ মানুষ” এই ব্যঙ্গ বিদ্রূপের উত্তরে এই আয়াতে দেয়া হয়েছে। এ কথা সত্য যে, আল্লাহ্র রসুলদের প্রেরণ করেছেন মানুষের মধ্যে থেকেই , যেনো সাধারণ মানুষ তাদের বুঝতে পারে এবং তাঁরাও সাধারণ মানুষের মন মানসিকতা বুঝতে পারে।
