আমি তাঁর উপর এক লতাবিশিষ্ট বৃক্ষ উদগত করলাম।
And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind.
وَأَنبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ
Waanbatna AAalayhi shajaratan min yaqteenin
YUSUFALI: And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind.
PICKTHAL: And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him;
SHAKIR: And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant.
KHALIFA: We had a tree of edible fruit grown for him.
১৪৬। এবং পরে আমি তার উপরে এক কুমড়ো জাতীয় গাছকে বিস্তৃত করে দেই।
১৪৭। তাকে আমি একলক্ষ বা ততোধিক লোকের [ প্রচারের ] কাজে প্রেরণ করি ৪১২৭।
৪১২৭। আল্লাহ্ তাকে পুণরায় নিনেভা নগরীতে প্রেরণ করেন। নিনেভা নগরী ছিলো এক বিশাল নগরী। ওল্ড টেস্টামেন্ট অনুযায়ী “Nineva was an exceeding great city of three days ‘ journey” [ Jonah iii 3 ] ; “Wherein are more than six score thousand person” [ Jonah iv 11 ] । নিনেভা নগরীর পরিধি বলা হয়ে থাকে ৪৫ মাইল এবং লোক সংখ্যা ছিলো এক লক্ষ বিশ হাজারের উপরে।
