তুমি কি দেখ না যে, ভূপৃষ্টে যা আছে এবং সমুদ্রে চলমান নৌকা তৎসমুদয়কে আল্লাহ নিজ আদেশে তোমাদের অধীন করে দিয়েছেন এবং তিনি আকাশ স্থির রাখেন, যাতে তাঁর আদেশ ব্যতীত ভূপৃষ্টে পতিত না হয়। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ মানুষের প্রতি করুণাশীল, দয়াবান।
See you not that Allâh has subjected to you (mankind) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except by His Leave. Verily, Allâh is, for mankind, full of Kindness, Most Merciful.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ وَيُمْسِكُ السَّمَاء أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Alam tara anna Allaha sakhkhara lakum ma fee al-ardi waalfulka tajree fee albahri bi-amrihi wayumsiku alssamaa an taqaAAa AAala al-ardi illa bi-ithnihi inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun
YUSUFALI: Seest thou not that Allah has made subject to you (men) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the sky (rain) from failing on the earth except by His leave: for Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to man.
PICKTHAL: Hast thou not seen how Allah hath made all that is in the earth subservient unto you? And the ship runneth upon the sea by His command, and He holdeth back the heaven from falling on the earth unless by His leave. Lo! Allah is, for mankind, Full of Pity, Merciful.
SHAKIR: Do you not see that Allah has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the earth and the ships running in the sea by His command? And He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except with His permission; most surely Allah is Compassionate, Merciful to men.
KHALIFA: Do you not see that GOD has committed in your service everything on earth? The ships run in the ocean by His command. He prevents the heavenly bodies from crashing onto the earth, except in accordance with His command. GOD is Most Kind towards the people, Most Merciful.

৬৫। [ হে মানুষ ] তোমরা কি দেখ না যে, আল্লাহ্ তোমাদের কল্যাণে নিয়োজিত করেছেন পৃথিবীর সকল কিছুকে এবং তাঁর আদেশে সমুদ্রে বিচরণশীল নৌযান সমূহকে ২৮৪৬ ? তাঁর অনুমতি ব্যতীত পৃথিবীর উপরে আকাশের [বৃষ্টির] পতনকে তিনিই ধরে রাখেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ মানুষের প্রতি দয়ালু ও পরম করুণাময় ২৮৪৭।
২৮৪৬। স্থলভাগ ও সমুদ্রকে আল্লাহ্ মানুষের আয়ত্বাধীন করে দিয়েছেন, যেনো মানুষ এদের উপরে আধিপত্য বিস্তার করতে পারে ও নিজের জীবন গড়তে পারে।
২৮৪৭। “Samaa” অর্থ ১) সুউচ্চ কোন কিছু, ২) ছাদ, ৩) আকাশ বা আকাশের সামিয়ানা ,৪) মেঘ বা বৃষ্টি। যদিও অধিকাংশ তফসীরকারগণ ” আকাশ ” শব্দটি ব্যবহার করেছেন , তবে মওলানা ইউসুফ আলী সাহেবের মতে শেষ অর্থটি হবে অধিক প্রযোজ্য। যদি বৃষ্টি কে ধরা হয় তবে সম্পূর্ণ আয়াতটি যে ভাবের প্রকাশ করে তা হচ্ছে তিনটি জিনিষ পৃথিবীতে মানুষের জীবন ধারাকে নিয়ন্ত্রিত করে মাটি, সমুদ্র ও বাতাস। বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে আল্লাহ্র করুণাধারার প্রতীক। তিনি মানুষের কল্যাণের জন্য বৃষ্টিকে নিয়ন্ত্রিত করেন।
