তারা কেবল কেয়ামতেরই অপেক্ষা করছে যে, আকস্মিকভাবে তাদের কাছে এসে যাবে এবং তারা খবর ও রাখবে না।
Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not?
هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Hal yanthuroona illa alssaAAata an ta/tiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
YUSUFALI: Do they only wait for the Hour – that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not?
PICKTHAL: Await they aught save the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they know not?
SHAKIR: Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come ! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive?
KHALIFA: Are they waiting for the Hour (Day of Judgment) to come to them suddenly when they least expect it?
৬৫। কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে নানা দল মতানৈক্য সৃষ্টি করলো। সুতারাং দুর্ভাগ্য পাপীদের জন্য , ভয়াবহ দিবসের শাস্তির জন্য।
৬৬। তারা কি কেয়ামতের অপেক্ষাকরছে ? ৪৬৬৫। এটা তাদের উপরে আকস্মিক ভাবে আপতিত হবে,যখন তারা তা অনুধাবনও করবে না।
৪৬৬৫। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১২ : ১০৭ ]। যারা কোনও অবস্থাতেই আল্লাহ্র রাস্তা গ্রহণ করে না ; প্রকারান্তে তারা নিজেদের ধ্বংসের জন্য প্রতীক্ষা করে। যে কোন মূহুর্তে তাদের উপরে ধ্বংস নেমে আসতে পারে। সঠিক ঘটনা বুঝে ওঠার পূর্বেই তাদের কেয়ামত ঘটে যেতে পারে। এই আয়াতে তাদের আহ্বান করে বলা হয়েছে যে, তারা যেনো বিভ্রান্তিকর তর্কবির্তক ত্যাগ করে সরল পথে আগমন করে।
