ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে ডেকে বলল, হে আমার কওম, আমি কি মিসরের অধিপতি নই? এই নদী গুলো আমার নিম্নদেশে প্রবাহিত হয়, তোমরা কি দেখ না?
And Fir’aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people, saying: ”O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then?
وَنَادَى فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَذِهِ الْأَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِي أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
Wanada firAAawnu fee qawmihi qala ya qawmi alaysa lee mulku misra wahathihi al-anharu tajree min tahtee afala tubsiroona
YUSUFALI: And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: “O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, (witness) these streams flowing underneath my (palace)? What! see ye not then?
PICKTHAL: And Pharaoh caused a proclamation to be made among his people saying: O my people! Is not mine the sovereignty of Egypt and these rivers flowing under me? Can ye not then discern?
SHAKIR: And Firon proclaimed amongst his people: O my people! is not the kingdom of Egypt mine? And these rivers flow beneath me; do you not then see?
KHALIFA: Pharaoh announced to his people, “O my people, do I not possess the kingship over Egypt, and these flowing rivers belong to me? Do you not see?
৫১। ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়ের নিকট ঘোষণা করেছিলো এই বলে, ” হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! মিশর সাম্রাজ্য কি আমার অধীনে নয় ?[ সাক্ষী থাক ] , এই নদীগুলি আমার[ প্রাসাদের ] পাদদেশে প্রবাহিত ; সেকি ! তোমরা কি তা দেখ না ? ৪৬৫৩
৪৬৫৩। নীল নদের অফুরন্ত পানি , যা ফেরাউনের প্রাসাদের পাদদেশ ধৌত করে প্রবাহিত ,তা ছিলো মিশরের প্রাচুর্য্যের প্রতীক।ফেরাউনের ক্ষমতা, প্রাচুর্য ও সার্বভৌমত্বের প্রমাণ হচ্ছে নীল নদ। ফেরাউনের প্রাসাদের পাদদেশ ধৌতকরে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে। নীল নদী হচ্ছে মিশরের প্রাণ। মিশরের পৌরাণিক কাহিনী সমূহ , নীল নদী মৃত্যুর দেবতা অসিরিস ও সূর্য দেবতার সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত। সেই নীল নদী ফেরাউনের আজ্ঞাবহ অর্থাৎ মিশর ফেরাউনের আজ্ঞাবহ। অদৃষ্টের পরিহাস, যে পানির জন্য ফেরাউন গর্ব করেছিলো সেই পানিতেই তাঁর মৃত্যু ঘটে।
