আমি যে শ্রেষ্ট এ ব্যক্তি থেকে, যে নীচ এবং কথা বলতেও সক্ষম নয়।
”Am I not better than this one [Mûsa (Moses)], who is Mahîn [has no honour nor any respect, and is weak and despicable] and can scarcely express himself clearly?
أَمْ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ
Am ana khayrun min hatha allathee huwa maheenun wala yakadu yubeenu
YUSUFALI: “Am I not better than this (Moses), who is a contemptible wretch and can scarcely express himself clearly?
PICKTHAL: I am surely better than this fellow, who is despicable and can hardly make (his meaning) plain!
SHAKIR: Nay! I am better than this fellow, who is contemptible, and who can hardly speak distinctly:
KHALIFA: “Which one is better; me or that one who is lowly and can hardly speak?
৫২। ” আমি কি এই[ মুসা ] অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ নই , যে হচ্ছে নিকৃষ্ট দুরাত্মা এবং স্পষ্টভাবে কথা বলতেও অক্ষম ? ৪৬৫৪
৪৬৫৪। হযরত মুসা ছিলেন ইসরাঈলী বংশদ্ভুদ। ইসরাঈলীদের মিশরবাসীরা ক্রীতদাস হিসেবে অত্যন্ত ঘৃণার দৃষ্টিতে পরিগণিত করতো। উপরন্তু হযরত মুসা তোতলা থাকার দরুন কথা বলায় অসুবিধা ছিলো। দেখুন আয়াত [ ২০ : ২৭ ] এবং টিকা ২৫৫২ – ৫৩।
