স্মরণ করুণ, আমার বান্দা আইয়্যুবের কথা, যখন সে তার পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে বললঃ শয়তান আমাকে যন্ত্রণা ও কষ্ট পৌছিয়েছে।
Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: “The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!”
وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ
Waothkur AAabdana ayyooba ith nada rabbahu annee massaniya alshshaytanu binusbin waAAathabin
YUSUFALI: Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: “The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!”
PICKTHAL: And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment.
SHAKIR: And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment.
KHALIFA: Remember our servant Job: he called upon his Lord, “The devil has afflicted me with hardship and pain.”

৪১। আমার বান্দা আইয়ুবকে স্মরণ কর ৪১৯৮। দেখো, সে তাঁর প্রভুকে আকুল ভাবে ডেকে বললো, “শয়তান তো আমাকে দুঃখ দুর্দ্দশা ভোগ করাচ্ছে।” ৪১৯৯
৪১৯৮। এই আয়াতের সাথে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ আয়াতের জন্য দেখুন আয়াত [ ২১ : ৮৩ – ৮৪ ]।
৪১৯৯। আইয়ুব নবীর বিপদ বিপর্যয় ছিলো নানাবিধ। দেখুন [ ২১ : ৮৩ ] আয়াতের টিকা ২৭৩৯। তাঁর সর্বাঙ্গে ছিলো ঘা, তিনি তাঁর ঘরবাড়ী , বিষয় সম্পত্তি হারান। তাঁর পরিবার হারান, এমনকি তিনি তাঁর মানসিক ভারসাম্যও হারানোর পথে ছিলেন। কিন্তু এত কিছুর পরেও তিনি আল্লাহ্র প্রতি অটুট বিশ্বাস থেকে একচুলও চ্যুত হন নাই [ দেখুন নীচের ৪৪ নং আয়াত ]। সুতারাং তাঁর আকুল আবেদনের প্রেক্ষিতে পুণরুদ্ধার কাজ শুরু হয়ে যায়।
