এবং যারা বলে, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাদের কাছথেকে জাহান্নামের শাস্তি হটিয়ে দাও। নিশ্চয় এর শাস্তি নিশ্চিত বিনাশ;
And those who say: ”Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment.”
وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana isrif AAanna AAathaba jahannama inna AAathabaha kana gharaman
YUSUFALI: Those who say, “Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,-
PICKTHAL: And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish;
SHAKIR: And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting
KHALIFA: And they say, “Our Lord, spare us the agony of Hell; its retribution is horrendous.
৬৫। যারা বলে, ” হে আমাদের প্রভু ! আমাদের উপর থেকে জাহান্নামের শাস্তিকে নিবারণ কর। নিশ্চয়ই এর শাস্তি হচ্ছে ভয়াবহ যন্ত্রণা, – ৩১২৫
৩১২৫। এই আয়াতের প্রার্থনার মাধ্যমে পূণ্যাত্মাদের বিনয়কে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। এই প্রার্থনার ভাষা তাদেরই যারা পরকালের শান্তির জন্য ইহকালের সৎ কাজের উপরে নির্ভরশীল নয়। তারা সৎ কাজ করেন শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহ্র হুকুমকে বাধ্যভাবে মানার জন্য, আল্লাহ্কে খুশী করার জন্য। কিন্তু পরলোকে দোযখের আগুন থেকে নিষ্কৃতি পাওয়ার জন্য তারা শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহ্র করুণার প্রত্যাশী। আল্লাহ্র করুণার প্রত্যাশী মনোভাব তাদের করে তোলে বিনয়ী।
