এমনিভাবে আমি আপনার কাছে এক ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করেছি আমার আদেশক্রমে। আপনি জানতেন না, কিতাব কি এবং ঈমান কি? কিন্তু আমি একে করেছি নূর, যাদ্দ্বারা আমি আমার বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে যাকে ইচ্ছা পথ প্রদর্শন করি। নিশ্চয় আপনি সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেন-
And thus We have sent to you (O Muhammad SAW) Ruhan (an Inspiration, and a Mercy) of Our Command. You knew not what is the Book, nor what is Faith? But We have made it (this Qur’ân) a light wherewith We guide whosoever of Our slaves We will. And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are indeed guiding (mankind) to the Straight Path (i.e. Allâh’s religion of Islâmic Monotheism).
وَكَذَلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا مِّنْ أَمْرِنَا مَا كُنتَ تَدْرِي مَا الْكِتَابُ وَلَا الْإِيمَانُ وَلَكِن جَعَلْنَاهُ نُورًا نَّهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ نَّشَاء مِنْ عِبَادِنَا وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِي إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
Wakathalika awhayna ilayka roohan min amrina ma kunta tadree ma alkitabu wala al-eemanu walakin jaAAalnahu nooran nahdee bihi man nashao min AAibadina wa-innaka latahdee ila siratin mustaqeemin
YUSUFALI: And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur’an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,-
PICKTHAL: And thus have We inspired in thee (Muhammad) a Spirit of Our command. Thou knewest not what the Scripture was, nor what the Faith. But We have made it a light whereby We guide whom We will of Our bondmen. And lo! thou verily dost guide unto a right path,
SHAKIR: And thus did We reveal to you an inspired book by Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor (what) the faith (was), but We made it a light, guiding thereby whom We please of Our servants; and most surely you show the way to the right path:
KHALIFA: Thus, we inspired to you a revelation proclaiming our commandments. You had no idea about the scripture, or faith. Yet, we made this a beacon to guide whomever we choose from among our servants. Surely, you guide in a straight path.
৫২। এ ভাবেই আমার হুকুমে তোমাকে ওহী প্রেরণ করা হয়। [ পূর্বে ] তুমি জানতে না যে প্রত্যাদেশ কাহাকে বলে ৪৬০১ , ঈমান কি। কিন্তু আমি [কোর-আনকে ] করেছি আলো , যা দ্বারা আমি আমার বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা পথ নির্দ্দেশ করি। তুমি তো [ মানুষদের ] পরিচালিত কর সরল পথে , – ৪৬০২
৪৬০১। ‘রূহ’ – এই শব্দটির অর্থ অনেকে মনে করেন প্রত্যাদেশ অথবা আল্ কোরাণ। আবার অনেকে মনে করেন রূহ দ্বারা জিব্রাইল ফেরেশতাকে বোঝানো হয়েছে যার মাধ্যমে প্রত্যাদেশ প্রেরণ করা হয়। অর্থাৎ প্রত্যাদেশের বাহক।
রাসুলুল্লাহ্ [ সা ] চল্লিশতম বৎসরে নবুয়ত প্রাপ্ত হন। নবুয়ত প্রাপ্তির পূর্বেও তিনি ছিলেন অশেষ গুণের অধিকারী। তিনি ছিলেন পবিত্রতার প্রতীক, সত্যের অনুসন্ধানে অটল, কিন্তু তার পরেও তিনি প্রত্যাদেশের জ্ঞান সম্বন্ধে জ্ঞাত ছিলেন না। তিনি পৃথিবীর সর্বোচ্চ সত্যের সম্বন্ধে নিশ্চিন্ত ছিলেন না ; আল্লাহ্র সান্নিধ্য আত্মার মাঝে উপলব্ধি করতেন না। আল্লাহ্ তাঁকে প্রত্যাদেশের মাধ্যমে এই সত্য অবগত করান।
৪৬০২। আল্ কোরাণ ও কোরাণের সত্যকে যিনি প্রচার করেন, সেই রাসুলকে [ সা ] এই আয়াতে সনাক্ত করা হয়েছে অভিন্ন রূপে। তারা মানুষকে হেদায়েত করে ও সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করে। সঠিক বা সরল পথের বিবরণ আছে নিম্নলিখিত আয়াত সমূহে [ ১ : ৬ ]ও টিকা ২২ এবং [ ১৮ : ১ – ২ ] ও টিকা ২৩২৬ – ২৭ এবং [ ৯০ : ১১ – ১৮ ]।
