হে ঈমানদার গন! তোমরা পরিপূর্ণভাবে ইসলামের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাও এবং শয়তানের পদাংক অনুসরণ কর না। নিশ্চিত রূপে সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু।
O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islâm (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islâmic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitân (Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ ادْخُلُواْ فِي السِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo odkhuloo fee alssilmi kaffatan wala tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytani innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun
YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy.
PICKTHAL: O ye who believe! Come, all of you, into submission (unto Him); and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you.
SHAKIR: O you who believe! enter into submission one and all and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan; surely he is your open enemy.
KHALIFA: O you who believe, you shall embrace total submission; do not follow the steps of Satan, for he is your most ardent enemy.
২০৮। হে বিশ্বাসীগণ! সমস্ত মন প্রাণ দিয়ে ইসলাম গ্রহণ কর। এবং শয়তানের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করো না। নিশ্চয়ই সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু।
২০৯। যদি তোমাদের নিকট সুস্পষ্ট [নিদর্শন] আসার পরেও তোমাদের পদস্খলন ঘটে, তবে জেনে রাখ আল্লাহ্ মহাশক্তিশালী ও প্রজ্ঞাময় ২৩০।
২৩০। আল্লাহ্র আদেশাবলী জানার পরেও কেউ যদি তা না মানে, তবে ক্ষতি আল্লাহ্র নয়, ক্ষতি তারই। সময়ের বৃহত্তর পরিসরে আল্লাহ্র পরিকল্পনা কার্যকর হবেই। কেউ যদি আল্লাহ্কে অস্বীকার করে তার পথ থেকে দূরে সরে যায় তা হয়তো ক্ষণকালের জন্য সমাজে কিছু অশান্তির সৃষ্টি করতে পারে। কিন্তু সর্বশক্তিমান আল্লাহ্র তাতে কিছু ক্ষতিবৃদ্ধি হবে না। ক্ষতি হবে তারই যে আল্লাহ্কে অস্বীকার করে তার পথ থেকে দূরে সরে যাবে। আল্লাহ্ মহাপরাক্রমশালী, তার পরিকল্পনা অবশ্যই বাস্তবায়িত হবে।
