তাদের দুস্কর্ম তাদেরকে বিপদে ফেলেছে, এদের মধ্যেও যারা পাপী, তাদেরকেও অতি সত্ত্বর তাদের দুস্কর্ম বিপদে ফেলবে। তারা তা প্রতিহত করতে সক্ষম হবে না।
Nay, the evil results of their Deeds overtook them. And the wrong-doers of this (generation)- the evil results of their Deeds will soon overtake them (too), and they will never be able to frustrate (Our Plan)!
فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَؤُلَاء سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Faasabahum sayyi-atu ma kasaboo waallatheena thalamoo min haola-i sayuseebuhum sayyi-atu ma kasaboo wama hum bimuAAjizeena
YUSUFALI: Nay, the evil results of their Deeds overtook them. And the wrong-doers of this (generation)- the evil results of their Deeds will soon overtake them (too), and they will never be able to frustrate (Our Plan)!
PICKTHAL: But the evils that they earned smote them; and such of these as do wrong, the evils that they earn will smite them; they cannot escape.
SHAKIR: So there befell them the evil (consequences) of what they earned; and (as for) those who are unjust from among these, there shall befall them the evil (consequences) of what they earn, and they shall not escape.
KHALIFA: They suffered the consequences of their evil works. Similarly, the transgressors among the present generation will suffer the consequences of their evil works; they cannot escape.
৫০। এদের পূর্ববর্তী [ প্রজন্মও ] এরূপ বলতো। কিন্তু তারা যা করেছিলো তা তাদের জন্য লাভজনক হয় নাই।
৫১। বস্তুতঃ তাদের মন্দ কাজের পরিণাম তাদের ঢেকে ফেলেছিলো, ৪৩২১ এবং [ এই প্রজন্মের ] যারা পাপ করে তাদের মন্দ কাজের পরিণাম তাদের-ও ঢেকে ফেলবে ৪৩২২ এবং তারা কখনও আমার পরিকল্পনাকে ব্যর্থ করতে পারবে না।
৪৩২১। দেখুন [ ১৬ : ৩৪ ]।
৪৩২২। যুগ যুগ ধরে অবিশ্বাসীদের কাহিনী একই রয়ে গেছে।তারা সত্যকে ব্যঙ্গ-বিদ্রূপ করে, সত্যকে প্রতিহত করে, নির্যাতন করে, ধ্বংস করার চেষ্টা করে। কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত তারা আল্লাহ্র পরিকল্পনা ব্যর্থ করতে অসমর্থ হয়। আল্লাহ্র পরিকল্পনা শেষ পর্যন্ত বাস্তবায়িত হবেই। শুধুমাত্র সত্যের যারা শত্রু তারাই তাদের মন্দ কর্মের ফল লাভ করবে। রাসুলের [ সা ] জীবনে ইসলাম প্রচার ও প্রসারের মাধ্যমে এই সত্যের উদাহরণ খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়। রাসুলের [সা ] সময়ে আরবে যা ঘটেছিলো – সেই একই ঘটনার বার বার পুণরাবৃত্তি ঘটেছে অতীতে এবং ভবিষ্যতেও ঘটবে। পৃথিবীতে কোনও সৎ কাজ বিপদ-বাঁধা ব্যতীত অতিক্রম করতে পারে নাই। আমাদের চারিদিকেই এরূপ বহু উদাহরণ দেখা যায়। কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত সত্য ও সৎ কাজ জয় লাভ করে ও স্থায়ীত্ব পায়।
