আর লড়াই কর আল্লাহর ওয়াস্তে তাদের সাথে, যারা লড়াই করে তোমাদের সাথে। অবশ্য কারো প্রতি বাড়াবাড়ি করো না। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন না।
And fight in the Way of Allâh those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allâh likes not the transgressors. [This Verse is the first one that was revealed in connection with Jihâd, but it was supplemented by another (V.9:36)].
وَقَاتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ وَلاَ تَعْتَدُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبِّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
Waqatiloo fee sabeeli Allahi allatheena yuqatiloonakum wala taAAtadoo inna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena
YUSUFALI: Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.
PICKTHAL: Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors.
SHAKIR: And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits.
KHALIFA: You may fight in the cause of GOD against those who attack you, but do not aggress. GOD does not love the aggressors.
১৯০। যারা তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করে তোমরাও আল্লাহ্র পথে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ কর ২০৪। কিন্তু সীমা লঙ্ঘন করো না। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীগনকে ভালোবাসেন না।
২০৪। ইসলাম আত্মরক্ষা এবং আল্লাহ্র জন্য জিহাদকে অনুমোদন করে। যুদ্ধের সময়ে সর্বশক্তি দিয়ে বিপক্ষ দলকে প্রতিরোধ করতে বলা হয়েছে কিন্তু কোনও অবস্থাতেই আল্লাহ্ প্রদত্ত সীমারেখা অতিক্রম করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছে। যুদ্ধ জয়ের পরে শত্রুপক্ষের ফসল, গাছ কাটার অনুমতি নাই। যদি শত্রুপক্ষ বশ্যতা স্বীকার করে তবে তাদের জন্য শান্তি স্থাপন করার হুকুম হয়েছে আল্লাহ্র পক্ষ থেকে।
