তুমি কি দেখনি যে, আল্লাহ আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন, অতঃপর সে পানি যমীনের ঝর্ণাসমূহে প্রবাহিত করেছেন, এরপর তদ্দ্বারা বিভিন্ন রঙের ফসল উৎপন্ন করেন, অতঃপর তা শুকিয়ে যায়, ফলে তোমরা তা পীতবর্ণ দেখতে পাও। এরপর আল্লাহ তাকে খড়-কুটায় পরিণত করে দেন। নিশ্চয় এতে বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্যে উপদেশ রয়েছে।
Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and leads it through springs in the earth? Then He causes to grow, therewith, produce of various colours: then it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then He makes it dry up and crumble away. Truly, in this, is a Message of remembrance to men of understanding.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَسَلَكَهُ يَنَابِيعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعًا مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَانُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُ حُطَامًا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ
Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssama-i maan fasalakahu yanabeeAAa fee al-ardi thumma yukhriju bihi zarAAan mukhtalifan alwanuhu thumma yaheeju fatarahu musfarran thumma yajAAaluhu hutaman inna fee thalika lathikra li-olee al-albabi
YUSUFALI: Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and leads it through springs in the earth? Then He causes to grow, therewith, produce of various colours: then it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then He makes it dry up and crumble away. Truly, in this, is a Message of remembrance to men of understanding.
PICKTHAL: Hast thou not seen how Allah hath sent down water from the sky and hath caused it to penetrate the earth as watersprings, and afterward thereby produceth crops of divers hues; and afterward they wither and thou seest them turn yellow; then He maketh them chaff. Lo! herein verily is a reminder for men of understanding.
SHAKIR: Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then makes it go along in the earth in springs, then brings forth therewith herbage of various colors, then it withers so that you see it becoming yellow, then He makes it a thing crushed and broken into pieces? Most surely there is a reminder in this for the men of understanding.
KHALIFA: Do you not see that GOD sends down from the sky water, then places it into underground wells, then produces with it plants of various colors, then they grow until they turn yellow, then He turns them into hay? This should be a reminder for those who possess intelligence.
২১। তোমরা কি দেখ না আল্লাহ্ আকাশ থেকে বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করেন এবং তা পৃথিবীর বুকে ঝরণা হিসেবে প্রবাহিত হয় ? ৪২৭৩। এরপরে তিনি তার দ্বারা বিভিন্ন বর্ণের ফসল উৎপন্ন করেন। এর পরে তা শুকিয়ে ম্লান হয়ে যায়। ফলে তোমরা তা হলুদ বর্ণে পরিণত হতে দেখো। অবশেষে তিনি তা শুকিয়ে চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ করেন। অবশ্যই এর মাঝে জ্ঞানী লোকদের জন্য স্মরণীয় উপদেশ রয়েছে।
৪২৭৩। পৃথিবীতে পানিচক্রকে এভাবে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। মেঘ থেকে বৃষ্টি হয়, বৃষ্টির পানি ভূমি শোষণ করে উর্ব্বর হয়, নদী -নালা ভরে ওঠে ,ভূমির পানির স্তর পরিপূর্ণতা লাভ করে ও প্রবাহিত হয় নির্ঝর রূপে। ভূমিস্থ পানির প্রবাহিত ধারা নির্ঝররূপে, নদীরূপে সমুদ্রে পতিত হয় এবং সমুদ্রের পানি পুণরায় বাস্পরূপে মেঘের সৃষ্টি করে। পানি চক্রের বিবরণ আছে সূরা [ ২৫ : ৫৩ ] আয়াতে এবং টিকা ৩১১১ – ৩১১২। এই আয়াতে দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করা হয়েছে পানি চক্রের পরিণতির উপরে। বৃষ্টি ভূমিকে সজীব ও উর্বর করে, ফলে বিভিন্ন ফসল ও ফল ও ফুল উৎপন্ন হয়। ফসল পরিপক্কতা লাভের পরে ঘরে ওঠে এবং গাছগুলি শুকিয়ে পশুখাদ্যে পরিণত হয়। আবার পরের বছরে ফসলের জন্য সেই একই চক্রের পুণরাবৃত্তি ঘটে। মানুষকে প্রকৃতির এই নিয়ম ও ধারার মাঝে আল্লাহ্র করুণা ও কল্যাণ স্পর্শ উপলব্ধি করতে বলা হয়েছে। যারা বোধশক্তি সম্পন্ন তাদের নিকট আল্লাহকে আত্মার মাঝে উপলব্ধি করার এ এক উপায়।
উপদেশ : আল্লাহ্ নিরাকার। তাঁকে আত্মার মাঝে তখনই অনুভব করা যাবে, যখন মানুষ বিশ্ব প্রকৃতি সৃষ্টির মাঝে তাঁর জ্ঞান, প্রজ্ঞা ও কল্যাণ স্পর্শ অনুভবে সক্ষম। সে কারণেই জ্ঞান লাভ করা মুসলমান নারী ও পুরুষের জন্য অবশ্য কর্তব্য।
