তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে যা আছে, তা তিনি জানেন। তারা শুধু তাদের জন্যে সুপারিশ করে, যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা তাঁর ভয়ে ভীত।
He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him with whom He is pleased. And they stand in awe for fear of Him.
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِ مُشْفِقُونَ
YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yashfaAAoona illa limani irtada wahum min khashyatihi mushfiqoona
YUSUFALI: He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of His (Glory).
PICKTHAL: He knoweth what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him whom He accepteth, and they quake for awe of Him.
SHAKIR: He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not intercede except for him whom He approves and for fear of Him they tremble.
KHALIFA: He knows their future and their past. They do not intercede, except for those already accepted by Him, and they are worried about their own necks.
২৮। তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে যা কিছু আছে তা তিনি অবগত। তাঁরা সুপারিশ করে শুধু তাদের জন্য যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ্ সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি ভয়ে সশ্রদ্ধ ভীত ২৬৮৮, ২৬৮৯।
২৬৮৮। দেখুন আয়াত [ ২০: ১০৯ ] যারা আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছার কাছে আত্মসমর্পন করে আল্লাহ্ তাদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট। যারা আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছা অর্থাৎ তাঁর আইন বা বিধানকে পৃথিবীতে মেনে চলে, তারাই আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টি লাভ করে।
২৬৮৯। “তাঁরা ” বিশেষণটি তাঁদের সম্বন্ধেই ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে যারা সুপারিশ করে থাকেন। এরা সকলেই আল্লাহ্র একান্ত অনুগত ভৃত্য। আবার ” তাঁরা” বিশেষণটি তাদের জন্যও ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে যারা সুপারিশের জন্য আকুল আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করেন। তারা সুপারিশকে তাদের অধিকার বা প্রাপ্য বলে জানেন না। সুতারাং তারা ভীত ও সন্ত্রস্ত অবস্থায় অপেক্ষা করেন।
