অতঃপর সে ধর্মের ঘাঁটিতে প্রবেশ করেনি।
But he has made no effort to pass on the path that is steep.
فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَ
Fala iqtahama alAAaqabata
YUSUFALI: But he hath made no haste on the path that is steep.
PICKTHAL: But he hath not attempted the Ascent –
SHAKIR: But he would not attempt the uphill road,
KHALIFA: He should choose the difficult path.
১১। কিন্তু সে তো দুর্গম [ গিরি ] পথে প্রবেশে ত্বরা করে নাই ৬১৩৯
৬১৩৯। মানুষকে আল্লাহ্ বিবেক, বুদ্ধি, মানসিক দক্ষতা সমূহ দান করা সত্বেও সাধারণ মানুষ সঠিক পথ অবলম্বনের প্রতি অমনোযোগী। সে কোনও অবস্থাতেই বন্ধুর গিরিপথ বা কষ্টসাধ্য পথ অবলম্বনে আগ্রহী হয় না যদিও এই পথ তার আধ্যাত্মিক ও পারলৌকিক কল্যাণ বয়ে আনবে। বাইবেলে আছে, “Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” [ Matt vii 14 ] ।
