স্মরণ কর, যখন মরিয়ম-তনয় ঈসা (আঃ) বললঃ হে বনী ইসরাইল! আমি তোমাদের কাছে আল্লাহর প্রেরিত রসূল, আমার পূর্ববর্তী তওরাতের আমি সত্যায়নকারী এবং আমি এমন একজন রসূলের সুসংবাদদাতা, যিনি আমার পরে আগমন করবেন। তাঁর নাম আহমদ। অতঃপর যখন সে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি নিয়ে আগমন করল, তখন তারা বললঃ এ তো এক প্রকাশ্য যাদু।
And (remember) when ’Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: ”O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allâh unto you confirming the Taurât [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed . But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: ”This is plain magic.”
وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِن بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ فَلَمَّا جَاءهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا هَذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Wa-ith qala AAeesa ibnu maryama ya banee isra-eela innee rasoolu Allahi ilaykum musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina alttawrati wamubashshiran birasoolin ya/tee min baAAdee ismuhu ahmadu falamma jaahum bialbayyinati qaloo hatha sihrun mubeenun
YUSUFALI: And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “this is evident sorcery!”
PICKTHAL: And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One. Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic.
SHAKIR: And when Isa son of Marium said: O children of Israel! surely I am the messenger of Allah to you, verifying that which is before me of the Taurat and giving the good news of an Messenger who will come after me, his name being Ahmad, but when he came to them with clear arguments they said: This is clear magic.
KHALIFA: Recall that Jesus, son of Mary, said, “O Children of Israel, I am GOD’s messenger to you, confirming the Torah and bringing good news of a messenger to come after me whose name will be even more praised (Ahmad).” Then, when he showed them the clear proofs, they said, “This is profound magic.”
৬। এবং স্মরণ কর, মরিয়ম পুত্র ঈসা বলেছিলো, ” হে বণী ইসারাঈলী ! নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাদের নিকট আল্লাহ্ [ প্রেরিত ] রসুল ৫৪৩৬। আমার পূর্বে যে তাওরাত অবতীর্ণ হয়েছিলো, আমি তা সত্যায়িত করছি ৫৪৩৭, এবং আমার পরে আহম্মদ [ মুহম্মদ ] নামে যে রসুল আসবে, তার [ আগমনের ] সুসংবাদ দিতেছি ৫৪৩৮। ” কিন্তু যখন সে [ মুহম্মদ ] তাদের নিকট সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ এসেছিলো, ৫৪৩৯, তারা বলেছিলো, “এটা তো সুস্পষ্ট যাদু।”
৫৪৩৬। হযরত ঈসার আগমন ঘটেছিলো, তাঁর নিজ সম্প্রদায় ইহুদীদের হেদায়েতের জন্য। এ জন্য দেখুন Matt . x : 5 – 6 ও Matt xv 24 যেখানে বলা হয়েছে, “I am not sent but to the lost sheep of Israel”।
৫৪৩৭। দেখুন Matt v 17
৫৪৩৮। আহমদ বা মুহম্মদ যার উভয়েরই অর্থ যে প্রশংসিত।
৫৪৩৯। বিশ্বনবীর আগমন বার্তা পূর্বেই ভবিষ্যতবাণী করা হয়েছিলো। তার সারাটা জীবন প্রথম থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত ছিলো অলৌকিক। তিনি পাহাড় প্রমাণ প্রতিবন্ধকতার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করে জয়ী হন যা সাধারণ মানুষের কল্পনারও বাইরে। তিনি কোনওরূপ প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা ব্যতীত জগতকে সর্বোচ্চ জ্ঞান ও প্রজ্ঞা শিক্ষা দান করেন। আর মোশরেকদের ন্যায় কঠিন হৃদয়কেও তিনি দ্রবীভূত করতে সক্ষম হয়েছিলেন, ফলে তারা নিঃশর্তভাবে ইসলামের পতাকা তলে সমবেত হন। তাঁর সকল উপদেশ, কথা ও কাজের মধ্যে আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছারই প্রতিফলন ঘটতো যা উপলব্ধি সম্পন্ন ব্যক্তিদের অনুভবকে উদ্বেলিত করতে সক্ষম হয়েছিলো। যে কোনও প্রজ্ঞা সম্পন্ন মানুষই “উম্মী” নবীর এই সাফল্যকে আল্লাহ্র অলৌকিক ক্ষমতার প্রকাশ ব্যতীত অন্য কিছু ভাবতে পারতো না। কিন্তু অবিশ্বাসীরা একে “স্পষ্ট যাদু” বলে আখ্যায়িত করে। কারণ রাসুলের (সা) জীবন ও কর্ম সবই ছিলো,এত অবাস্তব কিন্তু অকাট্য সত্য যা অস্বীকার করার উপায় নাই, সুতারাং তারা তা ব্যাখ্যা করতো যাদুরূপে।
