যদিও একে অপরকে দেখতে পাবে। সেদিন গোনাহগার ব্যক্তি পনস্বরূপ দিতে চাইবে তার সন্তান-সন্ততিকে,
Though they shall be made to see one another [(i.e. on the Day of Resurrection), there will be none but see his father, children and relatives, but he will neither speak to them nor will ask them for any help)], – the Mujrim, (criminal, sinner, disbeliever, etc.) would desire to ransom himself from the punishment of that Day by his children.
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِي مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنِيهِ
Yubassaroonahum yawaddu almujrimu law yaftadee min AAathabi yawmi-ithin bibaneehi
YUSUFALI: Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner’s desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children,
PICKTHAL: Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children
SHAKIR: (Though) they shall be made to see each other. The guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children,
KHALIFA: When they see them, the guilty will wish he could give his own children as ransom, to spare him the retribution of that day.
১১। যদিও তাদের রাখা হবে একে অপরের দৃষ্টি সীমার মধ্যে; অপরাধীরা সেদিনের শাস্তির বদলে দিতে চাইবে তার সন্তানদের, ৫৬৮৪ –
৫৬৮৪। পার্থিব জীবনেও পাপীদের অন্যতম প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য হচ্ছে স্বার্থপরতা। তাদের সকল পাপের উৎস মুখ হচ্ছে ব্যক্তি স্বার্থ। হাশরের ময়দানেও তারা এই মানসিকতা থেকে মুক্তি লাভ করবে না। তাদের পাপ মুক্তির জন্য তাদের সন্তান-সন্ততি, তার পরিবার,বন্ধু বান্ধব, যারা পার্থিব জীবনে তাকে আশ্রয়, নিরাপত্তা ও সঙ্গ দান করেছিলো, তাদের সকলকে মুক্তিপণ হিসেবে দান করতে দ্বিধা বোধ করবে না। তাদের উদ্বেগ দুশ্চিন্তা ও স্বার্থপরতা এরূপ বীভৎসরূপ ধারণ করবে।
