হে নবী, ঈমানদার নারীরা যখন আপনার কাছে এসে আনুগত্যের শপথ করে যে, তারা আল্লাহর সাথে কাউকে শরীক করবে না, চুরি করবে না, ব্যভিচার করবে না, তাদের সন্তানদেরকে হত্যা করবে না, জারজ সন্তানকে স্বামীর ঔরস থেকে আপন গর্ভজাত সন্তান বলে মিথ্যা দাবী করবে না এবং ভাল কাজে আপনার অবাধ্যতা করবে না, তখন তাদের আনুগত্য গ্রহণ করুন এবং তাদের জন্যে আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করুন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল অত্যন্ত দয়ালু।
O Prophet! When believing women come to you to give you the Bai’â (pledge), that they will not associate anything in worship with Allâh, that they will not steal, that they will not commit illegal sexual intercourse, that they will not kill their children, that they will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood (i.e. by making illegal children belonging to their husbands), and that they will not disobey you in any Ma’rûf (Islâmic Monotheism and all that which Islâm ordains) then accept their Bai’â (pledge), and ask Allâh to forgive them, Verily, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَاءكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ عَلَى أَن لَّا يُشْرِكْنَ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَسْرِقْنَ وَلَا يَزْنِينَ وَلَا يَقْتُلْنَ أَوْلَادَهُنَّ وَلَا يَأْتِينَ بِبُهْتَانٍ يَفْتَرِينَهُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِنَّ وَأَرْجُلِهِنَّ وَلَا يَعْصِينَكَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ فَبَايِعْهُنَّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُنَّ اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu itha jaaka almu/minatu yubayiAAnaka AAala an la yushrikna biAllahi shay-an wala yasriqna wala yazneena wala yaqtulna awladahunna wala ya/teena bibuhtanin yaftareenahu bayna aydeehinna waarjulihinna wala yaAAseenaka fee maAAroofin fabayiAAhunna waistaghfir lahunna Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
YUSUFALI: O Prophet! When believing women come to thee to take the oath of fealty to thee, that they will not associate in worship any other thing whatever with Allah, that they will not steal, that they will not commit adultery (or fornication), that they will not kill their children, that they will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood, and that they will not disobey thee in any just matter,- then do thou receive their fealty, and pray to Allah for the forgiveness (of their sins): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
PICKTHAL: O Prophet! If believing women come unto thee, taking oath of allegiance unto thee that they will ascribe no thing as partner unto Allah, and will neither steal nor commit adultery nor kill their children, nor produce any lie that they have devised between their hands and feet, nor disobey thee in what is right, then accept their allegiance and ask Allah to forgive them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
SHAKIR: O Prophet! when believing women come to you giving you a pledge that they will not associate aught with Allah, and will not steal, and will not commit fornication, and will not kill their children, and will not bring a calumny which they have forged of themselves, and will not disobey you in what is good, accept their pledge, and ask forgiveness for them from Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
KHALIFA: O you prophet, when the believing women (who abandoned the disbelievers) to seek asylum with you pledge to you that they will not set up any idols besides GOD, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill their children, nor fabricate any falsehood, nor disobey your righteous orders, you shall accept their pledge, and pray to GOD to forgive them. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
১২। হে রসুল ৫৪২৭! বিশ্বাসী নারীগণ যখন তোমার নিকট এসে অঙ্গীকার [ বায়’আত ] করে এই মর্মে যে, তারা আল্লাহ্র সাথে কোন শরীক স্থির করবে না। তারা চুরি করবে না, ব্যাভিচার করবে না, নিজেদের সন্তান হত্যা করবে না, তারা কুৎসা রটনা করবে না, ইচ্ছাকৃত ভাবে মিথ্যা বলবে না এবং তারা তোমাকে কোন ন্যায় কাজে অমান্য করবে না, তখন তাদের বায়’আত গ্রহণ করবে, এবং আল্লাহ্র নিকট [ তাদের পাপের জন্য ] ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করবে ৫৪২৮। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ্ বারে বারে ক্ষমাশীল, অসীম করুণাময়।
৫৪২৭। মক্কা থেকে আগত মহিলারা যারা মদিনাতে এসে ইসলাম গ্রহণে আগ্রহী ছিলো, তাদের তদন্ত সাপেক্ষে ইসলাম গ্রহণে অনুমতি দান করা হয়েছে। পুরুষদের জন্য একই কথা প্রযোজ্য, তবে এই আয়াতে বিশেষভাবে মহিলাদের কথাই বলা হয়েছে, তার কারণ সমূহ বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে টিকা নং ৫৪২২ এবং ৫৪২৩। যারা মক্কা থেকে পালিয়ে এসে ইসলাম গ্রহণে আগ্রহী তাদের প্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্যকে খুঁজে বের করতে বলা হয়েছে। এগুলির ভিত্তি হবে নিম্নরূপ :
১) এক আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত তারা আর অন্য কিছুর এবাদত করবে না ;
২) চুরি করবে না ;
৩) বিবাহ বহির্ভূত যৌন সম্পর্ক রাখবে না ;
৪) নিজেদের সন্তান হত্যা করবে না ;
৫ ) পরনিন্দা, পরচর্চচা করবে না ;
৬) ইচ্ছাকৃত ভাবে মিথ্যা বলবে না।
৭) সাধারণ ভাবে ইসলামের আইন সকল মেনে চলতে অঙ্গীকারবদ্ধ থাকবে।
৬ নং শর্তের মধ্যেই সকল শর্ত অর্ন্তভূক্ত হয় এ কথা সত্য, তবুও বিশেষ বিশেষ বিষয়গুলি স্পষ্টভাবে ব্যক্ত করা হয়েছে। এ সব শর্তগুলি নিঃশর্তভাবে মানার মধ্যেই ইসলামের প্রাণ নিহিত। কারণ ইসলাম ধর্ম জীবনের ধর্ম যা, ধর্মীয়, পারিবারিক ও জাতীয় জীবনে একতা ও শৃঙ্খলার উপরে প্রতিষ্ঠিত। এর অর্থ এই নয় যে, তারা মানুষকে দাসে পরিণত করে। বরং ঈমান ও শৃঙ্খলা মানুষের আত্মার ও চিন্তার জগতের মুক্তি ঘটায়।
৫৪২৮। কেউ যদি তাদের অঙ্গীকারের ব্যাপারে আন্তরিক হয়, তবে তার জন্য ইসলামের দরজা উন্মুক্ত। গত জীবনে সে, যে পাপই করে থাকুক না কেন, তার জন্য আল্লাহ্র ক্ষমার দুয়ার উন্মুক্ত। রাসুলকে (সা) বলা হয়েছে তাদের জন্য ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করতে। অর্থাৎ প্রকৃত অনুতাপকারীকে আল্লাহ্ যদি তার পূর্বে কৃত সকল পাপ ক্ষমা করতে পারেন তবে মানুষ কেন পারবে না ?
